Primark

Hyattsville, Md. — Primark, a global apparel retailer, plans to open a 30,000-square-foot store at Mall at Prince George’s, a regional shopping mall located in Hyattsville, roughly six miles outside Washington, D.C. The store is scheduled to open at the property, which is owned by PREIT, in 2025 in a space formerly occupied by JCPenney. Primark recently announced plans to grow its regional footprint from 24 to 60 locations. Other tenants at the mall include Target, Planet Fitness, H&M, DSW, Old Navy, Victoria’s Secret and Miller’s Ale House.

Sterling, Va. — Two new tenants have signed leases at Dulles Town Center, a shopping mall located in Sterling. Sushi King is scheduled to open a 7,825-square-foot restaurant at the property in the second quarter of this year. Lit4Luv will also join the mall, with the custom candle retailer scheduled to open an 800-square-foot store next month.  Other tenants at Dulles Town Center include Macy’s, JCPenney, LA Fitness, Regal Dulles Town Center 10 and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Atlanta — Interactive escape room concept The Escape Game has opened a 4,172-square-foot facility at The Interlock, a vertical mixed-use property located in the Midtown neighborhood of Atlanta. Located under Puttshack, The Escape Game Atlanta features immersive entertainment with multi-room experiences. Established in 2014, the brand currently operates venues in 34 cities across 19 states.

Lombard, Ill. — Aldi has opened a 22,951-square-foot store at Roosevelt Plaza, a shopping center located in the Chicago suburb of Lombard. An affiliate of Next Realty LLC owns and manages the property. Aldi now occupies a space that was formerly home to X-Sport Fitness. Other tenants at the center include Hobby Lobby, Harbor Freight Tools, Fruitful Yield, Roadhouse 38 and Starbucks Coffee. The tenant build-out involved installing freezer and cooler spaces and removing the locker room facilities used by the previous tenant.

Cast

San Jose, Calif. — Nine new tenants have signed leases at Santana Row, a retail center located in San Jose. Jewelry concept Cast is now open, and retailers New Balance, Evereve, Todd Snyder, [solidcore], Kohler and 7th Avenue have signed leases at the property. Restaurants Suspiro and Fitoor will also open at Santana Row early this year. Federal Realty Investment Trust is the landlord.

Matthews and Raleigh, N.C. — Nordstrom Rack, the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, will open two new stores in North Carolina, expanding the retailer’s footprint in the state by 57,000 square feet. Scheduled to open this fall, the first store will comprise 32,000 square feet within Triangle Town Place in Raleigh. Other tenants at Triangle Town Place include Dick’s Sporting Goods and DSW. Global Net Lease owns and manages the property. The second store, which is scheduled to open spring 2025, will occupy 25,000 square feet within Sycamore Commons in Matthews. …

Dallas — Seven new tenants have joined the lineup at Work/Shop, a 12-acre mixed-use development located in Dallas. Triten Real Estate is the developer and landlord of the property, which features 81,500 square feet of retail space, in addition to office and green space. EVO Entertainment Prestonwood opened at the development in November, and Local Jonny’s, MAI (My Aesthetics Intelligence), Rose Couture Nail Bar and [solidcore] are scheduled to open later this year. Wesley Chapel, Fla. — Ryan Cos. has opened a new Publix grocery store, which will serve as the anchor tenant of Innovations Commons, a retail center situated within the 900-acre Epperson Ranch master-planned development in Wesley Chapel. In addition to Innovations Commons, Epperson Ranch will feature single-family homes, a 200-room hotel and apartments. Innovation Commons will also include three outparcel developments for additional retail, restaurants and professional services.

Dallas — American Girl will open a 14,720-square-foot store next month at The Shops at Park Lane, a 33.5-acre mixed-use development in Dallas. In addition to the full range of American Girl dolls and accessories, the two-level store will feature a full-service café. Northwood Retail owns and operates The Shops at Park Lane.
