Egg Harbor Township, N.J. — New Jersey-based Spirit Halloween has announced that it will open more than 1,500 seasonal stores throughout the U.S. this year. Stores typically occupy between 5,000 and 50,000 square feet and remain open eight to ten weeks. The company plans to hire 40,000 associates to staff the locations.

Denver — New tenants have signed leases totaling roughly 66,000 square feet at Shops at Northfield, an open-air retail center located in Denver, bringing the property to 96 percent occupancy. P.F. Chang’s, Bowlero, Sephora and a lululemon pop-up store are among the new tenants at the center, which comprises 769,359 square feet and was built in 2006. Stockdale Capital Partners is the landlord.

Greenville, S.C. — Three new-to-market entertainment concepts have signed leases at the $1 billion mixed-use redevelopment of Greenville County Square currently underway in Greenville. Pins Mechanical will open a 24,366-square-foot space, and Fairway Social and Agave Bandido will occupy 9,100 and 7,000 square feet at the development, respectively. RocaPoint Partners is the landlord and developer.

Deer-Park-Town-Center_Deer-Park-Ill

Deer Park, Ill. — Three new tenants have joined Deer Park Town Center, a shopping center located approximately 35 miles outside Chicago in Deer Park. Sweetgreen has opened a 2,156-square-foot restaurant and Victoria’s Secret has signed a 4,965-square-foot lease at the property. The Shade Store will also open at the center in spring 2024.

Los Angeles — Lazy Acres Natural Market has opened a 31,000-square-foot store in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, marking the sixth location for the brand. Landlord CGI+ Real Estate Investment Strategies developed the space after purchasing three adjacent properties, one of which was home to a 23,000-square-foot Rite Aid, in separate transactions. New York City — Wegmans Food Market has announced plans to open an 87,500-square-foot store at 770 Broadway in Manhattan’s East Village neighborhood. The market, dubbed Wegmans Astor Place, will be located at the base of an office building that Vornado Realty Trust owns. Meta, formerly known as Facebook, occupies the office portion of the property. Atlanta and New York City — Chick-fil-A has announced plans for two new restaurant concepts. Beginning in 2024, the brand will open an elevated drive-thru concept in metro Atlanta as well as a walk-up restaurant in New York City. Both concepts are designed to enhance efficiency and convenience, with plans for the drive-thru restaurant including a kitchen built above the drive-thru lanes and dedicated lanes for mobile orders. Flix-Brewhouse

Mansfield, Texas — Flix Brewhouse has signed a 15-year lease to open a 40,000-square-foot theater at The Shops at Broad, a retail center located in Mansfield. Scheduled to open this fall, the venue will feature nine auditoriums and offer in-theater dining service. Sam Kartalis of Younger Partners and John Weber of Weber & Co., who manage the property, negotiated the lease on behalf of the landlord, Trez Capital.

Canyon-Springs-Marketplace_Riverside-Calif

Riverside, Calif. — Three tenants have signed leases totaling 24,220 square feet at Canyon Springs Marketplace in Riverside, bringing the property to 100 percent occupancy. Sephora and Urbane Café recently opened at the 183,000-square-foot center, occupying 4,320 and 1,600 square feet, respectively. Boot Barn has also signed a lease at the property and will open an 18,300-square-foot store this fall. Brad Umansky and Albert Lopez of Progressive Real Estate Partners represented the landlord, TDA Investment Property, in the leasing negotiations.
