Brick Township, N.J. — First Watch will open a 3,846-square-foot restaurant in Brick Township. Scheduled to open in 2024, the property will be situated on a pad site within Brick Commons, a 278,145-square-foot retail center. Amy Staats and Hugh Scullin of Katz & Associates represented the tenant in the leasing negotiations.

New York City — SAGA Hospitality Group will open a 7,000-square-foot restaurant at 360 Park Avenue, a 450,000-square-foot office property in New York City. BXP, which acquired the building in December 2021, is the landlord. Upon opening, the concept will offer coffee and pastries throughout the day and seafood dishes at night.

Canyon-Trails-Towne-Center_Goodyear-Ariz

Goodyear, Ariz. — Eight tenants are joining Canyon Trails Towne Center, a 90-acre mixed-use development located in Goodyear, roughly 19 miles outside Phoenix, bringing the property to full occupancy. Chipotle Mexican Grill recently opened a restaurant at the center, and Michael’s and Five Below will occupy 18,300 and 10,434 square feet, respectively. Target and Ross Dress for Less have also signed leases at the property, and Starbucks Coffee, Freddy’s Steakburgers and Denny’s are currently underway on the construction of spaces scheduled to open this fall. Cut Off, La. — Dorsey Development Cos. has signed four new tenants to join the roster at Tarpon Heights Shopping Center, a 57,698-square-foot retail property in Cut Off. Dorsey recently completed renovations including replacing the roof and rebuilding the façade, following hurricane damage in 2021. Dollar General will return to its previous 11,398-square-foot space, and Bayou Ju Jitsu, El Viejon and Lafourche Parish Library have additionally leased space at the center.

El Segundo, Calif. — Oath Pizza will open a 799-square-foot restaurant within The Works shopping center in El Segundo. Scheduled to open Aug. 5, the location will mark the first in the state for the brand, which was founded in 2015. The El Segundo restaurant is the first of three locations to be developed in California by franchise group Brothers Empire. Brothers, comprised of partners Mandeep Singh, Kulwant Jafal and Garish Talwar, is also considering storefronts in Orange County and Carlsbad.

Cypress, Calif. — Seven new tenants are joining The Square Cypress, a mixed-use retail center located in Cypress, roughly 25 miles outside Los Angeles. Trader Joe’s has opened a store at the center, and BLK Dot Coffee, Board & Brew Specialty Sandwiches, Dr. Footman, El Zarape, The Kebab Shop and YogaSix have also signed leases at the property. The Square Cypress features 31,000 square feet of grocery, retail and restaurant space, with plans for the addition of an apartment community, hotel and medical office building.

Puttshack-Baltimore

Baltimore — Chasen Cos. has signed Puttshack to The Whitney, a five-story mixed-use building in Baltimore’s Harbor East neighborhood. Scheduled to open in late 2024, the space will mark the first Maryland location for the brand, which currently has nine locations in the U.S. The space will comprise roughly 25,000 square feet and feature three nine-hole mini-golf courses, private event space, two full-service bars and an outdoor patio space with 50-seat capacity.

Willow Grove, Pa. — The second phase of construction for Tilted 10, an entertainment complex totaling 103,000 square feet, has been completed at Willow Grove Park Mall, a PREIT property located in Willow Grove. Tilted 10, a Nickles and Dimes Inc. concept, features bowling, games, golf courses, a shooting gallery, bumper car rink and laser tag arena. A full-service taco bar is also currently underway at the location.

Honolulu — Six new tenants are set to join Ala Moana Center, a 2.3 million-square-foot regional retail center located in Honolulu. Jack-in-the-Box, boutique Mahina and restaurant Yung Yee Kee Dim Sum will open at the property in August. Frozen yogurt concept Yoajung and eyewear brand Quay will also lease space at the center beginning in September, with Yeti scheduled to open a store this fall. Renovated in 2015, the property sees more than 53 million visitors each year.

Carlsbad, Calif. — Three new tenants have signed leases at Carlsbad Arcade in the Village, a retail center comprising 13,000 square feet in Carlsbad, roughly 35 miles north of San Diego. Village Florist Co., Carlsbad Golf Carts and Joey Snow Design Co. will occupy 1,180; 1,250 and 1,060 square feet, respectively. Serena Patterson and Luke Holler of Urban Property Group represented both the tenants and the landlord, Carlsbad One LLC, in the leasing transactions.
