Charleston, S.C. — Target has signed a 30,000-square-foot retail lease at Majestic Square, a mixed-use retail and office building located at 211 King St. in downtown Charleston. Dotan Zuckerman of Zuckerman Co., alongside Beach Commercial represented the landlord, an affiliate of The Beach Co. Rich Barta of CORE Properties represented Target Corp. An opening date will be announced closer to the store’s opening.

Austin, Texas — Furniture and appliance retailer Conn’s HomePlus has signed a 40,000-square-foot retail lease at Capital Plaza, a shopping center located at the junction of IH-35 and Cameron Road in Austin. Matt Epple and Britt Morrison of Weitzman represented the undisclosed landlord in the lease negotiations. Sean Murphy of CLD Realty represented Conn’s HomePlus. Other tenants at the center include Target, Ross Dress for Less, Boot Barn, Foot Locker and Walgreens.

West Islip, N.Y. — Piazzetta Italian Kitchen & Bar has signed a lease to open a 3,000-square-foot restaurant at a 19,757-square-foot retail center currently under development in the Long Island hamlet of West Islip. The center is located at 425 Union Blvd. and will house other tenants such as 7-Eleven and Brownstone Coffee. Christopher Mayor and Lawrence Densen of Island Associates Real Estate brokered the lease negotiations.

Riverdale and Manasquan, N.J. — R.J. Brunelli & Co. LLC has negotiated two retail leases for Dollar Tree in New Jersey. In the first deal, the discount retailer leased 9,200 square feet at Riverdale Crossing, a Walmart-anchored power center in Morris County. Dollar Tree will backfill a space formerly occupied by Pier 1 Imports. In the second transaction, Dollar Tree committed to a 9,460-square-foot endcap space at The Orchards at Wall, a 22,504-square-foot center in Manasquan that was also formerly occupied by Pier 1. Petoskey, Mich. — Big Lots has signed a 31,896-square-foot lease at Petoskey Town Center near North Central Michigan College. U.S. Properties (USPG) owns the 174,870-square-foot shopping center. Big Lots will occupy a former Kmart location, filling over 37 percent of the building. Petoskey Town Center is home to tenants including Hobby Lobby, The American Automobile Association, Grondin’s Hair Center and Petoskey Sewing Center.

Grocery-Outlet_Victorville

Victorville, Calif. —  BH Properties has signed a lease with Grocery Outlet for a 16,130 square-foot anchor space at Hi Desert Plaza in Victorville. Grocery Outlet is expected to open this summer and will join tenants including DD’s Discounts, Dollar Tree, Aaron’s, Goodwill and Bank of America at the 140,000-square-foot center. Brad Umansky and Paul Su of Progressive Real Estate Partners represented the landlord in the transaction. Townsand Cropsey and Garrett Colburn of SRS Real Estate Partners represented Grocery Outlet.

Sterling, Va. — Combined Properties has signed three new tenants, including two anchor leases, at Sugarland Crossing shopping center in Sterling. The three tenants are JOANN Fabrics and Crafts, Lidl and Tropical Smoothie Café. Sugarland Crossing is located at the intersection of Route 7 and Community Plaza in Sterling, about 30 miles west of Washington, D.C. JOANN Fabrics and Crafts will open in a 35,000-square-foot space previously occupied by Home Vivant Furniture. Germany-based discount grocery chain Lidl has signed on to replace the former Shoppers Food Warehouse in a 26,114-square-foot space this spring. …

Dunwoody, Ga. — Branch Properties has signed several new restaurants and healthcare tenants at Perimeter Marketplace in Dunwoody. The upcoming Publix-anchored development, located on Ashford-Dunwoody Road, is expected to open this October. The new tenants at Perimeter Marketplace will include burger chain BurgerFi, salad restaurant chain Chop’t, Panda Express, Aspen Dental, One Medical and First Watch, a daytime café. Perimeter Marketplace will also include a QuikTrip gas station. Upon completion, Perimeter Marketplace will feature 68,077 square feet of retail and restaurant space.
