Melville, N.Y. — A&G Real Estate Partners has negotiated lower costs on 9,550 retail leases in 2020, bringing the company’s success rate to 77 percent. The company reports its success rate for negotiations on behalf of retail tenants is typically 50 percent. Chicago — Cheba Hut will open its first Illinois location in Chicago’s Wicker Park on Monday, Oct. 19. The marijuana-themed sandwich shop is located at 1948 W. Division St. The “toasted” sub shop offers over 30 signature sub sandwiches, as well as a variety of treats, salads and munchies and a full-service bar. Drinks like the Dirty Hippie, Hot Box and Cheba Rita are all Cheba Hut signatures. Savannah, Ga. — TSCG has negotiated a 33,191-square-foot lease for Planet Fitness at the former site of a Bi-Lo grocery store in Savannah. The property is situated within Crossroads Shopping Center at 2132 E. Victory Drive, four miles southeast of downtown Savannah. Current tenants include Starbucks, T-Mobile and The UPS Store. Michael Silverman of TSCG represented Sunshine Fitness, one of the largest Planet Fitness franchisees in the country, in the lease transaction. Salem, N.H. — Home furnishings store Arhaus will occupy 15,000 square feet at Tuscan Village in Salem beginning spring 2021. Arhaus was founded in 1986 and operates 70 locations nationwide. The Ohio-based retailer specializes in hand-crafted furniture. Tuscan Village is a 170-acre, mixed-use development situated 30 miles north of downtown Boston. The property will span 2.8 million square feet and feature 800,000 square feet of retail space. Morgantown, W.Va. — Hibbett Sports has opened a 5,600-square-foot store within Morgantown Mall. The Birmingham, Ala.-based sports retailer offers brands such as Nike, Under Armour, Jordan, The North Face and Adidas. The new location implements the company’s new store design, which features an open concept, phone charging stations and other amenities for customers to experience. The mall location also offers online, pick-up in-store and curbside pick-up shopping options.
