Atlanta — Four restaurants are set to open at mixed-use project Westside Paper during the second quarter of 2022 in Atlanta’s West Midtown. The four restaurant tenants include Pancake Social, Glide Pizza, Girl Diver and Boxcar Betty’s. A joint venture between Third & Urban and FCP is developing the project, which is a 245,000-square-foot adaptive reuse of a former 1950s-era warehouse facility. Bridger Properties is managing leasing on behalf of the development team.

Tampa, Fla. — Polestar, an electric vehicle provider, will open its first Florida location at Midtown Tampa, a $500 million mixed-use district with 1.8 million square feet of retail in Tampa. Polestar will open during the second quarter of 2022 within a 2,500-square-foot space across from Sephora and behind Ponte Tampa. All sales at Polestar will be handled online. Midtown Tampa is nearly fully leased with restaurants, shops and businesses opening throughout 2022 and 2023.
Columbus, Ga. — Cotton Cos. has signed Cleaver & Cork, a butcher and artisan market, to an 1,800-square-foot lease at Highside Market, an adaptive reuse mixed-use development in Columbus. Cleaver & Cork will offer a selection of charcuterie, meats, seafood, artisan goods and local cheeses, as well as a variety of craft beer and wine. Boston — Wayfair will open three brick-and-mortar stores in the Boston area in 2022. The first two stores will be located within open-air centers owned by WS Development in Lynnfield and Dedham, and will carry the company’s AllModern brands. The third store will be located within Simon Property Group’s Burlington Mall and will carry the company’s Joss & Main brand. Wayfair plans to open more stores to support other brands over the next two years.
Sharon, Mass. — Burn Boot Camp has opened in a 5,000-square-foot space at Sharon Marketplace, a 103,000-square-foot grocery-anchored retail center owned by Capital Group Properties in Sharon. The shopping center is fully leased to tenants including Shaw’s Grocery Store, Liquor World, Dunkin’, Citizens Bank, KinderCare Childcare Services, TT Nail Salon, Kumon Learning Center and Marathon Physical Therapy.
Chicago — Edie’s All Day Café & Bar has signed a lease for approximately 4,000 square feet of ground-floor space at Kingsbury Center in Chicago. Scheduled to open in spring 2022, the new location is Edie’s second in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. Edie’s will offer a café, restaurant, workspace and wine bar. Kingsbury Center is a six-story, 90,689-square-foot office building owned by an affiliate of Next Realty LLC and The Habitat Co. David Goldberg and Allan Perales of Goldstreet Partners represented Edie’s in the lease transaction.
Miami and Miami Lakes, Fla. — BurgerFi will open three new corporately owned restaurants in the Miami metropolitan area next year, including locations in Miami’s Health District and South Beach, as well as the suburb of Miami Lakes. The company’s new locations will feature a smaller footprint prototype designed to help increase distribution points for digital ordering and off-premise dining. Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Twin Peaks has signed a lease to open a new restaurant at Myrtle Beach Mall. United Development Co., owner and operator of Myrtle Beach Mall, arranged the lease for Twin Peaks. The restaurant will open in an 11,600-square-foot space and will feature a Topgolf Swing Suite, selection of arcade games, 32 beers on tap and 76 televisions. Tenants at Myrtle Beach Mall include AMC, Bass Pro Shops, Belk, Books-A-Million, Overstock Furniture and Chick-fil-A.
Flanders, N.J. — Rita’s Ice has signed a 1,973-square-foot retail lease at ITC Crossing South Shopping Center in Flanders, about 50 miles west of New York City. The tenant will backfill a space previously occupied by Amy Murphy Salon, which is relocating to a 5,000-square-foot space within the 514,903-square-foot center. The opening is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022. Danielle Brunelli of R.J. Brunelli & Co. represented the landlord in the lease negotiations.
New York City — Ghost kitchen operator Kitchen United has opened a 6,400-square-foot space at 307 W. 38th St. in Midtown Manhattan where it will offer takeout and delivery of brands such as Wingstop, Jersey Mike’s Subs and Chili’s. The location is the third in New York City for Kitchen United, which also recently acquired software and ghost kitchen developer Zuul. The acquisition saw Zuul’s existing locations in the Soho and Hudson Yards neighborhoods rebranded as a Kitchen United MIX centers last month.
