Long Beach, Calif. — A joint venture between Turnbridge Equities, Waterford Property Co. and Monument Square Investment Group has acquired City Place Long Beach, a 14-acre mixed-used property in downtown Long Beach. The open-air center offers a mix of retail and office space. The partnership secured financing to acquire City Place Long Beach at the end of 2020 and will now take over ownership of the center, which was previously home to an enclosed regional mall prior to the property’s redevelopment in 2002. San Antonio  — Houston-based developer Midway and private equity firm GrayStreet Partners have unveiled plans for Lone Star District, a mixed-use project in San Antonio that will be a redevelopment of the former Lone Star Brewery site. Malibu, Calif. — Pacific Equity Properties Inc. has received $130 million in construction financing for Cross Creek Ranch Malibu, a 112,000-square-foot mixed-use development in Malibu, a beach city just west of downtown Los Angeles. Cross Creek Ranch is the largest development to be approved since the Malibu incorporated in 1991, according to the developer. Hoboken, N.J. — Federal Realty Investment Trust, a Maryland-based REIT, has acquired a 39-property multifamily and retail portfolio in Hoboken for $203 million. Concentrated primarily along the Washington Street retail corridor, the portfolio includes 129 residential units and 171,959 square feet of retail space. The portfolio totals 278,879 square feet. Retail tenants include French beauty chain Sephora, CVS and several restaurants. Kevin Welsh, Brian Schulz and Dean Tselepis of Newmark Knight Frank represented the seller, a private owner.
