Duluth, Ga. — North American Properties (NAP) has revealed its first retail tenant lineup at Revel, its $900 million, Infinite Energy Center-anchored mixed-use development in Duluth. Newmark Knight Frank Arranges $18 Million Sale of Mixed-Use Building in Hermosa Beach, California

Hermosa Beach, Calif. — Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) has negotiated the sale of The Bijou Building, a three-story mixed-use building located in downtown Hermosa Beach. Federal Realty Investment Trust sold the property to 1221 Hermosa Ave LLC for $18 million. Located at 1221 Hermosa Ave., The Bijou Building was originally developed in 1923 as the Metropolitan Theater and later converted to office and retail space. San Francisco Planning Commission Approves 2.3 Million-Square-Foot Flower Mart Redevelopment Project

San Francisco — The San Francisco Planning Commission has unanimously approved plans to redevelop the historic Flower Mart in the city’s South of Market (SoMa) district as a 2.3 million-square-foot mixed-use property. Kilroy Realty Corp. is leading the development, which will preserve and update the 115,000-square-foot Flower Mart, while also adding 2.1 million square feet of creative office space, a 100,000-square-foot retail market hall and one acre of public open space. NewQuest Properties Breaks Ground on 143-Acre Entertainment Retail Project in Waco

Waco, Texas — Houston-based NewQuest Properties has broken ground on Cottonwood Creek Market, a 143-acre entertainment retail project in Waco. Located at the intersection of Interstate 35 and Loop 340, the development will span 285,000 square feet. A 14-screen Cinemark theater will anchor the project, and NewQuest is in talks to add a bowling and family dining concept, as well as a national retailer in golf entertainment. The opening is scheduled for spring 2020.

Southpace Properties to Develop $11 Million Mixed-Use Building in Birmingham

Birmingham, Ala. — Southpace Properties will develop Macaroni Lofts, a mixed-use building in Birmingham’s Parkside District that will include 35 residential units and 6,000 square feet of retail space. Birmingham Business Journal reports the project will cost $11 million to complete.
