Matawan, N.J. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $14.7 million sale of Park Plaza, a 61,750-square-foot retail center located in Matawan, approximately 40 miles south of Manhattan. Built in 1986, the property features 20 retail suites and a mix of dining, lifestyle and service-oriented tenants, including a Dunkin’ with a drive-thru. Seth Goldberg, Brent Hyldahl and Alan Cafiero of Marcus & Millichap marketed the property on behalf of the seller and procured the buyer, both private investors from New Jersey. 

Linden, N.J. — Stockbridge Capital Group and Cypress Equities have sold The Shops at Legacy Square, a 93,785-square-foot retail center located in the Northern New Jersey community of Linden. Completed in 2021, the five-building center was 80.6 percent occupied at the time of sale. The property also features multiple fully leased shadow pad sites with tenants such as Starbucks Coffee, Panera Bread, Taco Bell, Wawa, Chick-fil-A, AFC Urgent Care and Aspen Dental. J.B. Morris County, N.J. — RIPCO Real Estate has arranged the $13.8 million sale of a 70,000-square-foot shopping center located along Route 10 in Morris County, approximately 30 miles northwest of New York City. Seth Pollack and Nina Becker of RIPCO Real Estate represented the seller in the transaction and procured the buyer. AMC Theater anchors the retail property, which features a mix of other tenants including Chuck E. Cheese and GolfTec.

Bridgewater Township, N.J. — Urban Edge Properties has acquired The Village at Bridgewater Commons, a 92,461-square-foot open-air center located in Somerset County, for $54.3 million. Built in 2006 on 12.5 acres, The Village at Bridgewater Commons is anchored by Summit Health, a medical facility that opened in a newly redeveloped building on the property in 2024. Additional tenants include Starbucks Coffee, Shake Shack, Cava, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Big Chicken. Jackson Township, N.J. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of Chapel Hill Shops at Jackson, an 8,000-square-foot retail property located in Ocean County, roughly 50 miles east of Philadelphia. Chez Eider of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, a national investor, and procured the buyer, a local private investor. Situated on roughly 1.5 acres at 305 Whitesville Road, the property is fully occupied by a mix of locally based, service-oriented tenants including Bruno’s Barber Shop and Emilio’s Pizza & Restaurant.
