New Market Properties, a subsidiary of Preferred Apartment Communities Inc, sold the property for $17 million. Summerville, S.C. — SRS Real Estate Partners’ National Net Lease Group has brokered the sale of a single-tenant retail property leased to Walmart Neighborhood Market in Summerville, roughly 25 miles outside Charleston. Richard Dorfman of SRS represented the 1031 exchange buyer, a private investor from California. Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, an undisclosed investor based in Florida, which sold the property for $14.5 million.

Greenville, S.C. — Owings Mills, Md.-based Greenberg Gibbons has acquired Town N’ Country, a 263,490-square-foot shopping center in Greenville, for $23 million. The property was purchased through the Greenberg Gibbons Real Estate Income Fund, which was launched in March 2021 to acquire shopping centers throughout the East Coast, Southeast and Midwest markets. The seller was not disclosed. Town N’ Country was 98 percent leased at the time of sale to tenants including Belk, Hobby Lobby, HomeGoods, Ross Dress for Less, Staples, Ulta Beauty and Five Below.

Beaufort, S.C. — The Morgan Cos. has plans to develop Beaufort Station, a 200,000-square-foot shopping center in Beaufort. The firm acquired 31 acres for the project. Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Twin Peaks has signed a lease to open a new restaurant at Myrtle Beach Mall. United Development Co., owner and operator of Myrtle Beach Mall, arranged the lease for Twin Peaks. The restaurant will open in an 11,600-square-foot space and will feature a Topgolf Swing Suite, selection of arcade games, 32 beers on tap and 76 televisions. Tenants at Myrtle Beach Mall include AMC, Bass Pro Shops, Belk, Books-A-Million, Overstock Furniture and Chick-fil-A.
