EDENS Adds Five New Retail Concepts to Uptown Park in Houston

Houston — EDENS has announced the addition of five new tenants to Uptown Park, a retail center located in Houston. Restaurant Lombardi Cucina Italiana will open a 9,350-square-foot location; Polestar, a Swedish electric car brand, will occupy 3,420 square feet; and GLOSSLAB, a membership-based nail salon, will occupy 972 square feet. Rocambolesc, an ice cream shop, opened at the retail center earlier this year. Fertility and reproductive health clinic kindbody also recently opened its 5,360-square-foot location at Uptown Park.

Katz & Associates Arranges Two Retail, Restaurant Leases in Queens

New York City — Daniel DePasquale of Katz & Associates has leased two retail spaces located in the New York City borough of Queens. Japanese grocery store Teso Life has signed a 6,000-square-foot lease at 42-19 Bell Blvd. in the Bayside neighborhood, and Filipino fast-casual restaurant Jollibee will occupy 3,614 square feet on the ground floor at 91-23 Queens Blvd. DePasquale represented the landlords, Paulipark Associates LLC and Midwood, respectively, in both deals. Both tenants are scheduled to open in 2023.

Breslin Realty Arranges Lease with Noodles & Company in Farmingdale, New York

Farmingdale, N.Y. — Breslin Realty has arranged a long-term lease with fast-casual restaurant Noodles & Company for 2,500 square feet of space at Republic Plaza, a shopping center located in Farmingdale on Long Island. Robert Delavale of Breslin negotiated the deal on behalf of the undisclosed landlord. Other tenants of Republic Plaza include Walmart Supercenter, Chili’s, Houlihan’s, Bank of America, Panera Bread, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Burger Village, The Halal Guys and AAA.

Citivest, Hutensky Sell The Shops at Palm Promenade in San Diego for $41.5 Million

San Diego — A partnership between Citivest and Hutensky Capital Partners has sold portions of The Shops at Palm Promenade, a newly constructed shopping center in San Diego, for a combined value of $41.5 million. El Warner, Caitlin Zirpolo, Charley Simpson, Jordan Gomez and Alyssa Mera of Colliers’ Orange County-based National Retail Capital Markets team represented the sellers in the transactions. Northwood Investors Adds Two New Concepts to Metropolitan Shopping Center in Midtown Charlotte

Charlotte, N.C. — Northwood Investors LLC has added two new tenants to Metropolitan, a mixed-use development and lifestyle shopping center located in Midtown Charlotte. New additions include Yuliya’s Ice Cream, a locally based, woman-owned ice cream company founded by Belarusian immigrant Yuliya Shvinhelskaya. The eatery will open its first brick-and-mortar shop in early 2023. The other new tenant is Removery, the largest specialized provider of tattoo removal services. Naperville, Ill. — Newcastle Properties is set to begin construction on an 8,300-square-foot, multi-tenant outlot building and a 3,260-square-foot endcap space at Eastgate Crossing in the Chicago suburb of Naperville. The new development will be home to Kura Revolving Sushi Bar and NaanSense, an Indian fast-casual chain. Located within the firm’s 670,000-square-foot Glenpointe campus, Marketplace has already received commitments from concepts such as kosher deli Ma’adan, Colombian coffee shop Coffeecol, French-inspired Balthazar Bakery and ice cream maker Sip N Swirl. Ders Group Breaks Ground on PinSeekers Golf Venue at Park Place in Tiffin, Iowa

Tiffin, Iowa — The Ders Group LLC has broken ground on a two-story PinSeekers golf venue at the Park Place mixed-use development in Tiffin, about 20 miles south of Cedar Rapids. The 49,022-square-foot venue will feature 56 heated bays and Toptracer ball tracking technology, which uses high-speed cameras and computer algorithms to provide instant feedback on golf swings.
