Celebrity Chef Antoine Westermann to Open First American Restaurant in New York, Le Coq Rico

New York – Westermann has served as a chef and consultant to several restaurants in Washington.

Le Coq Rico will occupy an entire street front of a landmark building that was originally constructed in 1915.New York – The New York City architectural and design firm of Montroy Andersen DeMarco and Paris-based Pascal Desprez will develop the design for the first U.S. location of the Parisian restaurant Le Coq Rico. The restaurant’s chef and owner Antoine Westermann and his business partner, Francis Staub, recently leased a 3,340-square-foot space at 30-32 E. 20th St., located between Park Avenue South and Broadway in Manhattan. The approximately 80-seat, U-shaped Le Coq Rico will feature a 50-seat dining room, a 20-seat bar and a 10-seat section in the kitchen. The restaurant will occupy an entire street front of a landmark building that was originally constructed in 1915. The restaurant space will include a 2,216-square-foot ground floor dining room and bar, and a 1,124-square-foot lower level that will house the kitchen, restrooms and support spaces.
