Bala Cynwyd, Pa. — Federal Realty Investment Trust has announced plans to redevelop a building within Bala Cynwyd on City Avenue, a shopping center located in Bala Cynwyd. Formerly occupied by retailer Lord & Taylor, the building will feature 217 residential units above 16,000 square feet of retail space. Including this redevelopment, Federal Realty’s investment in the shopping center will total roughly $170 million, with 190,000 square feet of retail space. The project team includes architect Bernardon, civil engineer Bohler, landscape architect Studio39 and interior designer MSA Interiors. Construction is scheduled to begin this spring, with completion scheduled for summer 2026.
