Meridian, Idaho  — Russell Corp. has completed Phase I of construction on the approximately 970,000-square-foot Meridian Town Center in Meridian. The project included building a 325,000-square-foot power center on a 30-acre site next to the new Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park. Nadel Architects designed the center, which includes five big-box buildings. Tenants include Gordman’s, Petco, Toys “R” Us, Gap Factory and Marshalls. Anderson Construction is the construction manager.

Russell Corp. will also build Phase II of the project. It will include a 645,000-square-foot mixed-use development on an adjacent 49-acre lot for retail, entertainment and office space.

CenterCal began constructing the development in 2006, but stopped due to the recession. The power center is currently open and Phase II of the project will open in fall 2013.
