Chicago — The 380,000-square-foot New City will open in the summer of 2015.
Chicago — Earls Kitchen + Bar will join anchors ArcLight Cinemas and Mariano’s Fresh Market as the first tenants at New City, a 380,000-square-foot mixed-use development in Chicago. Bucksbaum Retail Properties LLC and Structured Development LLC are developing the project on an 8.5-acre site at the intersection of Clybourn and Halsted streets in the Clybourn Corridor. New City will be complete in summer 2015.
Earls Kitchen + Bar offers fresh, made-from-scratch items on its menu, which varies depending on location in order to cater to regional and demographic tastes. Earls operates 61 restaurants in Canada and five locations in the United States. New City will be the first Midwest location for the company.
ArcLight Cinemas will open a 14-screen theatre that will also feature a full bar and cafe. Mariano’s Fresh Market will operate an 80,000-square-foot grocery store at the project. In addition to the retail space, New City will include a 200-unit residential tower, one-acre plaza and 1,100 parking spaces.
