New York City — Macy’s has announced a partnership with WHP Global to open Toys “R” Us in-store shops within all of its locations across the U.S. Toys “R” Us stores will range from 1,000 to 10,000 square feet and are set to open from late July through October 15.
Each location will feature colorful fixtures, demonstration tables for customers to interact with toys, and a “Geoffrey on a Bench” photo opportunity for families. The in-store shops may also grow by an additional 500 to 3,000 square feet during the holiday season.
To celebrate the openings, all Macy’s stores will host nine days of in-store events beginning October 15, including family friendly activities and daily giveaways from brands such as Barbie and Lego.
“Macy’s cannot wait to bring the Toys “R” Us experience to life in our stores,” says Nata Dvir, chief merchandising officer of New York City-based Macy’s. “We hope Toys ”R” Us kids of all ages discover the joy of exploration and play within our shops and families create special memories together.”
Macy’s Toys “R” Us flagship locations will include Lenox Square in Atlanta; State Street in Chicago; Ala Moana in Honolulu, Hawaii; Memorial City in Houston; South Coast Plaza in Los Angeles; Aventura and Dadeland in Miami; Herald Square and Roosevelt Field in New York City; Union Square in San Francisco; and Valley Fair in San Jose, California.
