Watchung, N.J. — A new ShopRite store has opened at Blue Star Shopping Center in Watchung. The supermarket spans 72,000 square feet and is the anchor of the 420,000-square-foot shopping center. Dubbed the “New Star of Blue Star,” the store — which replaced an older ShopRite at the center — will offer customers chef-prepared meals, specialty and premium items, meat and seafood options, hand-rolled sushi and a soup and coffee bar. Village Super Market has owned and operated the ShopRite store at Blue Star Shopping Center since 1980. Additional tenants at the center include Kohl’s, Marshalls, Dollar Tree, The Children’s Place, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa and Five Guys.

Levin Management Corp. manages and leases Blue Star Shopping Center, which has recently been redeveloped and renovated to include a central courtyard, as well as infrastructure improvements, landscaping, electric vehicle charging stations and an updated exterior.
