Mississauga, Ontario — Construction will begin on the 850,000-square-foot property later this summer.

Mississauga, Ontario — The $100 million redevelopment of Erin Mills Town Centre, an 850,000-square-foot regional shopping center in Ontario, will begin later this summer. It will be the first major renovation to the property since it opened in 1989. The redevelopment will include a contemporary design that will transform the existing clock tower into a glass sphere 283 feet wide in the center’s central court area. The central court will also feature an infinity pool and existing skylights will be replaced with clerestory windows.

Phase I of the new food court, which will be expanded to accommodate additional restaurants, will be complete in fall 2014. A new Target store will start construction in the fall and will open in the summer of 2014. The entire renovation will be complete by summer 2015. Erin Mills Town Centre is managed by 20VIC Management Inc., which manages a portfolio containing 20 million square feet across Canada.
