Pittsburgh, Pa. — Pittsburgh-based HFF has arranged the sale of The Cavalier Portfolio, an 11-property necessity-anchored retail portfolio totaling more than 1 million square feet in the central and eastern portions of the U.S.
New York City — Brookfield Asset Management Inc. has made an unsolicited offer to buy the majority stake of mall owner Rouse Properties Inc. that it doesn’t already own for $17 in cash per share, or approximately $657 million.
Miami — Swire Properties Inc., alongside retail co-developers Whitman Family Development and Simon Property Group, has announced nearly 40 new tenants for Brickell City Centre’s 500,000-square-foot, open-air shopping center under construction in Miami’s Brickell district.
Glenwood Springs, Colo. — NorthMarq has arranged the $28 million refinance of Glenwood Meadows, a 145,000-square-foot shopping center located in Glenwood Springs.
Birmingham, Ala. — Bayer Properties is set to begin a $66 million renovation of the historic Pizitz building in Birmingham.
Boston — National Real Estate Advisors and the HYM Investment Group have received final approval from the Boston Redevelopment Authority to build two towers comprising the first phase of a $1.5 billion redevelopment project on Boston’s Congress Street.
Atlanta — Kroger’s Atlanta Division and New City LLC plan to transform an existing Kroger store on Ponce de Leon Avenue in Atlanta as part of a mixed-use development along the Atlanta BeltLine.
Oak Brook, Ill. — Mid-America Real Estate Corp. has arranged the $18.2 million sale of The Oaks of Oak Brook, a 67,143-square-foot retail property located in Oak Brook, approximately 20 miles west of Chicago.
Overland Park, Mo. — Viking Partners Fund III LLC has acquired Overland Pointe Marketplace, an 80,047-square-foot shopping center located in the Kansas City suburb of Overland Park, for $8.5 million.
