Alpharetta, Ga. — Alpharetta, Georgia-based food retailer The Honey Baked Ham Co. has signed a franchise agreement with The Davis Restaurant Group to open eight new stores. The first store openings are planned for September 2026 in Bel Air, Maryland; Chesapeake, Virginia; and Des Moines, Iowa. In September 2027, additional HoneyBaked locations are projected for Chesapeake and Des Moines, as well as Mint Hill, North Carolina. Charleston, S.C. — Asana Partners is redeveloping Pacific Box, a 221,600-square-foot mixed-use development on Charleston’s Upper Peninsula. The redevelopment — which will include the conversion of 26,000 square feet of office space into lifestyle retail and restaurants — is already underway. Lakewood, Calif. — A joint venture between Pacific Retail Capital Partners, Lyon Living and Silverpeak has acquired Lakewood Center, a 2 million-square-foot super-regional shopping center located about 23 miles southeast of Los Angeles. The joint venture plans to redevelop the property to feature elevated retail and dining options, integrated residential living opportunities, wellness amenities, green spaces and entertainment offerings. The Pickle Pad Signs Four-Unit Franchise Agreement Across Four Markets

Dallas — Dallas-based pickleball-themed entertainment venue The Pickle Pad has signed a four-unit franchise agreement across four different markets including Oak Bridge, New Jersey; Port Arthur, Texas; Hoover, Alabama; and Tampa, Florida. The company currently has seven locations under development, while preparing to open three new venues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; St. George, Utah; and Newport News, Virginia. While opening dates have not been announced, each location will feature multiple pickleball courts, food-and-beverage offerings, open green spaces and social and lawn games.

Thompson Thrift Breaks Ground on 27,000-Square-Foot Shopping Center Near Phoenix

Tempe, Ariz. — Indiana-based Thompson Thrift has broken ground on South Tempe Square, a 27,000-square-foot neighborhood shopping center located in Tempe, roughly 10 miles east of Phoenix. Nearly 75 percent of the property is preleased or under lease negotiations. Tenants who have already signed leases include BURN Total Body Conditioning, Pacific Dental, Look Lab, Luna Grill Restaurant, The Slice House by Tony Gemignani and GoodVets. A 4,500-square-foot restaurant pad and two inline retail spaces are still available for lease. A construction timeline was not disclosed.
