Los Angeles — Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) and Alamo Drafthouse Cinema have announced plans to reopen and restore Cinerama Dome, a historic move theater located on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. Opened in 1963, it is the world’s first all-concrete, geodesic dome that features an 86-foot curved screen. Following a six-year shutdown that began during the COVID pandemic, the Dome will undergo restorative renovations starting next month through early 2028. Anna, Texas — Charlotte, North Carolina-based Big V Property Group and Texas-based The Seitz Group have broken ground on Rosamond Town Center, a planned 355,826-square-foot open-air center in the North Texas city of Anna. Rosamond Town Center is a complementary development to Rosamond Crossing, a 175,300-square-foot, Kroger-anchored center that includes additional tenants such as Bank of America and McDonald’s. The overall complex will span approximately 750,000 square feet. Principal Asset Management is providing a combination of developer equity and financing for the project, while Citizens Bank is providing a construction loan.

Bel Air, Md. — SJC Ventures will begin the demolition process on the former Macy’s store at the Hartford Mall site in Bel Air, roughly 30 miles northeast of Baltimore. Interior demolition will kick off on July 22. Frederick, Md. — Greenberg Gibbons has broken ground on Frederick Brickworks, a new mixed-use project located in Frederick, roughly 50 miles northwest of Baltimore. Upon completion, the development will span 65 acres. Project costs are expected to total $450 million.
