Greenville, S.C. — Four new food-and-beverage tenants will join the roster at Greenville County Square, a $1 billion mixed-use redevelopment currently underway by RocaPoint Partners in downtown Greenville. Mama’s Comfort Food & Cocktails, Leo’s Italian Social, CRÚ Food & Wine Bar and MOA Korean Barbeque have signed leases at the 40-acre project, which will be anchored by a Whole Foods Market grocery store. Sugar Hill, Ga. — Ackerman & Co. and Novare Group have announced plans to develop a 13,275-square-foot retail project within Novare Group’s Conclave development in Sugar Hill. Situated on a four-acre site within the mixed-use property, the retail component will comprise two buildings totaling 6,035 and 7,240 square feet, respectively. Kelly Wilson of Ackerman Retail will lead leasing at the development.

Houston — Marquette Cos. has received approval from the Houston Planning Commission for a 20,000-square-foot retail project that will be located near White Oak Music Hall in Houston. The new, single-story building is scheduled for a 2025 delivery and will be marketed to bar, restaurant, coffee shop and other retail users. The development will be situated across the street from Tempo at White Oak, a 304-unit multifamily project currently underway by Marquette.

Exton, Pa. — Kimberton Whole Foods will open a new, 14,000-square-foot store in Exton, roughly 30 miles outside Philadelphia. Construction on the building will begin this month, with the opening scheduled for spring 2026. The store will be situated within Eagleview Town Center, within the 800-acre Eagleview mixed-use community. Hankin Group is the developer and landlord.

Phoenix — RED Development has begun construction on PV, the $2 billion redevelopment of a 100-acre site in Phoenix formerly occupied by Paradise Valley Mall.  Phase I of the project will include retail, dining and entertainment space anchored by Whole Foods Market; AVE Paradise Valley, a 400-unit multifamily community; and a 77,000-square-foot co-headquarters for Fender Musical Instruments Corp. Providence, R.I. — Marsella Development Corp. is underway on Track 15, an 18,000-square-foot food hall situated within the historic Union Station building in Providence. Scheduled to open in February 2025, the Track 15 will feature the food vendors including Little Chaska, Tolia, Dune Brothers, Dolores, There There, Giusto PVD and Mother Pizzeria PVD. In addition to the vendor spaces, the $25 million development will feature indoor and outdoor seating for roughly 600, an entertainment venue and a 10,000-square-foot plaza.

CanalSide-Food+Drink_Cambridge-Mass

Cambridge, Mass. — Two new concepts have joined the lineup at CanalSide Food + Drink, a new food hall scheduled to open this month in Cambridge. Eateries Juicygreens and Far Out Ice Cream have joined the vendor lineup, which also includes anoush’ella, Caffé Nero, Chilacates, DalMoros Fresh Pasta to Go, Fresh, InChu, Lala’s Neapolitan-ish Pizza, Nu Burger, Sapporo Ramen and Teazzi Tea Shop. New England Development is the developer of the property, which was designed by RODE. The project team also includes general contractor Whiting Turning.

Seguin, Texas — A joint venture between Collett & Associates and the Alexander Family will develop a $25 million retail project in Seguin, roughly 35 miles outside San Antonio. Upon completion, the development will comprise more than 135,000 square feet of retail space. Tenants at the property will include Hobby Lobby, Five Below, James Avery and an undisclosed sporting goods retailer, among others. Construction is scheduled to begin by the end of 2024, with openings scheduled for fall 2025.

Pittsburgh — A joint venture between Greystar and ECHO Realty has broken ground on Ophelia and The Meridian, a multifamily and retail project located at the intersection of Penn and Shady avenues in Pittsburgh.  The development will include Ophelia, a 231-unit multifamily project by Greystar; The Meridian, a 44,000-square-foot retail development spearheaded by ECHO Realty; and parking for both retail and residential uses.
