Konover South Breaks Ground on 23,000-Square-Foot Retail Center in Southeast Florida

Westlake, Fla. —Konover South has broken ground on Shoppes of Westlake Landings in Westlake, in the southeastern part of the state. Upon completion, the 23,000-square-foot development will comprise two multi-tenant shopping centers and a pod of quick-service restaurants. Konover acquired the property from Minto Communities in 2021. MEC Construction is serving as general contractor. Tenants that have signed leases at the center include Starbucks Coffee, KFC, Taco Bell, Habit Burger, 3Natives, Heartland Dental, Verizon Wireless, Go Green Cleaners and Orange Theater.

Atlanta — GID Development has signed four new tenants to join High Street, a $2 billion mixed-use, transit-oriented development underway in Atlanta’s Central Perimeter submarket. Phase I of the development, which will span 10 city blocks near the Dunwoody MARTA station, is set to come on-line in 2024. Branch Properties Acquires Land to Construct 76,764-Square-Foot Shopping Center Near Atlanta

Gainesville, Ga. — Branch Properties has acquired 14 acres for the construction of Limestone Marketplace in Gainesville, roughly 55 miles northeast of Atlanta. Upon completion, the shopping center will comprise 76,764 square feet and feature a 54,964-square-foot Publix. The property will also include three outparcels ranging in size from one to three acres. Branch will break ground on the development in spring of this year, with completion of construction scheduled for the second quarter of 2024.

Gulf Coast Commercial Group Signs Leases with Two Tenants at Retail Project Near Houston

Manvel, Texas — Gulf Coast Commercial Group Inc. has inked leases with two tenants, the first to sign on to the firm’s upcoming retail development in Manvel, roughly 24 miles south of Houston. Comprising 20,700 square feet, construction on the project is scheduled to begin this spring. Next Level Urgent Care will open a 3,000-square-foot location at the property, and dental practice Smile Professionals will lease a 2,500-square-foot space. Danny Miller of Gulf Coast represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. Alexander Frias of Phelps Commercial Realty represented Smile Professionals.

Garansuay Group broke ground on the development in June 2022. Other tenants will include Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, James Avery, Paris Bakery, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, Juice US, Benjamin Moore Paints, Cita’s Boutique, Allure Nails & Spa and Stefano’s Brooklyn Pizza.
