The property serves as an outparcel to a Walmart Supercenter and was 85 percent leased at the time of sale. Tenants at the property include Starbucks Coffee, Supercuts and Jimmy Johns. Orlando, Fla. — Live Nation will open a 3,500-seat entertainment venue at Westcourt Sports and Entertainment District, a 900,000-square-foot mixed-use project currently underway in downtown Orlando. Construction on the facility is scheduled to begin early next year, with an anticipated opening in 2027. SED Development, JMA Ventures and Machete Group are developing Westcourt, which will feature a 260-room hotel, 265 residential units, 300,000 square feet of office space and 125,000 square feet of entertainment and dining-focused retail space. Orlando, Fla. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $10.8 million sale of Turkey Lake Plaza, a retail center located in Orlando. Built in 2010, the property totals 19,719 square feet. Turkey Lake Plaza was leased to 12 tenants at the time of sale, including Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ. Tarek Chbeir of Marcus & Millichap procured the buyer, a local investor, in the transaction. Sunrise, Fla. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $5.7 million sale of West Commercial Landings, a retail center located in Sunrise. Houston and Pompano Beach, Fla. — Longpoint Partners has purchased two shopping centers for a total of $45.7 million. The properties — Plaza Mexico in Houston and Palm Aire Marketplace in Pompano Beach, Florida — comprise 103,907 and 143,219 square feet, respectively. El Rancho anchors Plaza Mexico, which was 96 percent occupied at the time of sale, and El Presidente Supermarket anchors Palm Aire Marketplace, which was 90 percent leased at the time of sale. Both properties will be managed under Longpoint’s new Lena Centers brand.
Tampa, Fla. — SJS Realty Management has sold Fowler Plaza South, a retail center located in Tampa, for $12.6 million. The building features a 28-room boutique hotel as well as retail space. Benderson also recently acquired the Cypress Trace and Carillon Place shopping centers in Fort Myers and Naples.
Fort Myers, Fla. — Benderson Development has acquired Cypress Trace, a 280,000-square-foot retail center located in Fort Myers. Winn-Dixie anchors the property, which spans 29 acres. Other tenants at the center include Five Below, Burlington and Ross Dress for Less. Benderson’s other recent acquisitions in the state include Carillon Place in Naples, North River Marketplace in Venice, Glengary Shoppes in Sarasota and Linton Commons in Delray Beach.
