Issaquah, Wash. — Barnes & Noble has signed a 25,000-square-foot lease at Issaquah Commons, a retail center located in Issaquah, roughly 15 miles outside Seattle. Scheduled to open this fall, the new store will be situated between Sephora and Chipotle Mexican Grill. The store will include a café and feature a new layout and design. Avison Young manages and leases Issaquah Commons, which totals 373,603 square feet. Other tenants at the property include Safeway, Target, Trader Joe’s, REI, Athleta, WildFin American Grill, Panera Bread, Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria and Just Poke.

Houston — Four new tenants have signed leases at CITYCENTRE, a 47-acre mixed-use property located in Houston. Star Cinema Grill opened at the center last month, in a space formerly occupied by Studio Movie Grill. Additionally, American Threads, Rowan and Southern Tides have signed leases at the property. The concepts will open stores totaling 1,800; 1,000; and 1,500 square feet, respectively. Each of the openings is scheduled for this summer. TriGate Capital is the landlord of the property, which was developed by Midway and is managed by Parkway.

Hagerstown, Md. — Continental Realty Corp. (CRC) has signed Crunch Fitness to a 30,973-square-foot retail lease in Hagerstown, a suburb of Washington, D.C. The fitness concept will backfill a former Bed Bath & Beyond space at Centre at Hagerstown, a nearly 300,000-square-foot regional shopping center located at 17850 Garland Groh Blvd. The lease brings the occupancy rate of the shopping center to 97 percent. Troy, Mich. — Burlington Stores Inc. has signed a lease to open a new store at Oakland Square, a 220,000-square-foot retail center located in Troy. Continental Realty Corp. (CRC) is the landlord of the property. Other tenants at the center, which is now 83 percent occupied, include HomeGoods, Five Below, Kohl’s and Ulta Beauty. Honolulu — Three new retail tenants have signed leases at Ala Moana Center, a 2.4 million-square-foot shopping center located in Honolulu. Footwear and apparel concept HOKA and watch retailer Panerai are both scheduled to open at the propery in May, with Cat Café Moff opening in June. Other recent tenant openings at the center include Canada Goose, Body Balance, KaiAloha Supply, Ringer Hut, Sugar Factory American Brasserie and Sweet As. Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Macy’s and Target anchor the property, which was originally developed in 1959.

Metairie, La.— Three new tenants, all divisions of Abercrombie & Fitch Co., will open at Lakeside Shopping Center, a 1.2 million-square-foot retail center located in Metairie, roughly eight miles outside downtown New Orleans. Abercrombie & Fitch, abercrombie kids and Hollister Co. are scheduled to open at the property this summer. The stores will feature updated prototype formats for the respective brands. Abercrombie & Fitch Co. operates more than 750 stores under these banners throughout North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Sunnyvale, Texas — Tom Thumb will open a store in Sunnyvale, marking the “first major grocery store” in the area, according to the Town of Sunnyvale. Scheduled to open in late 2025, the grocer will join Gateway Park, a $124 million development that spans 240,000 square feet and features additional retail and restaurant space, as well as athletic facilities. The Sunnyvale Town Council has approved a $3 million economic incentive for the store’s development.

River Forest, Ill. — Whole Foods Market has signed a long-term lease renewal and expansion at River Forest Town Center in River Forest, approximately 11 miles outside downtown Chicago. In addition to implementing a full remodel, Whole Foods will take over a 7,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by Rally House. Dick Spinell of Mid-America Asset Management and Scott Stefanik of Midwest Commercial Realty arranged the lease. This year marks the 30-year anniversary of Whole Food’s opening at the property.

Petaluma, Calif. — Clothing, jewelry, home décor and gift boutique Bella has signed a 1,500-square-foot lease at East Washington Place, a shopping center located in Petaluma, roughly 40 miles outside San Francisco.
