Boston — Lendlease has signed leases with three food-and-beverage concepts at Clippership Wharf, a mixed-use residential development situated on a seven acres in Boston. Italian restaurant Mida and barbecue concept The Smoke Shop both opened restaurants at the property this summer, occupying 2,900 and 4,000 square feet, respectively. Café Iterum also opened at the development in late 2021, leasing a 1,100-square-foot space and an additional 1,400-square-foot patio. The retail space at the property is now fully occupied.

Montclair, Calif. — Main Event Entertainment has signed a 51,802-square-foot lease at Montclair Place, a 1.2 million-square-foot retail center located in Montclair. Main Event will operate a venue featuring 20 bowling lanes, laser tag, escape rooms, banquet rooms, private bowling lanes and food and beverages, with the opening scheduled for 2025. CIM Group is the landlord. Main Event will occupy the ground floor of a 134,000-square-foot, two-story building. Dave & Buster’s Entertainment acquired the brand, which currently operates in more than 50 locations, in 2022.
Katy, Texas — Four new tenants have signed leases totaling 13,401 square feet at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch, a retail center located in Katy, roughly 30 miles outside Houston. Kilwins will open a 1,014-square-foot sweets shop in the fourth quarter of this year, and Nando’s will open a 2,754-square-foot restaurant in January. IKEA and lululemon have also signed leases at the property and will occupy 5,500 and 4,133 square feet, respectively, beginning next year. JLL manages the property.
Cedar Park, Texas — Scheels, an employee-owned sporting goods retailer based in Fargo, North Dakota, plans to open a 240,000-square-foot store in Cedar Park, a northern suburb of Austin. The store will be the retailer’s second “All Sports” location to open in Texas, joining a store at Grandscape in The Colony that opened in 2020. Scheels plans to employ more than 500 associates at the store, most of whom will be local to Cedar Park. Newton, N.C. — Planet Fitness has signed an 18,000-square-foot lease in Newton, roughly 40 miles outside Charlotte. The tenant will operate in half of a space formerly occupied by Bi-Lo at Marketplace Center. Prior to the lease, the space was vacant for more than seven years. Tad Anderson of Ardor Commercial Advisors represented the landlord, RVS Realty, in the lease negotiations. Jay Hagerman of Providence Group represented Planet Fitness.
New York City — Electric Shuffle, an entertainment concept featuring high-tech shuffleboard, as well as food and beverages, will open a 10,000-square-foot venue on the second floor of Broadway and West 30th Street in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood. John Few of SRS Real Estate Partners represented Electric Shuffle in the lease negotiations. Richard Tang represented the landlord, The Lam Group, on an internal basis, with Adam Weinblatt of Newmark. The opening is scheduled for next spring.
Houston — Three new tenants have signed leases totaling 54,000 square feet at Champions Village, a retail center located in Houston. Lowe’s has opened a 41,453-square-foot store at the property, occupying a former Stein Mart space. Additionally, Hibbett Sports and The Greasy Spoon are both scheduled to open at the center in 2024. First National Realty Partners is the landlord.
Indian Harbour Beach, Fla. — Michaels will open a 21,000-square-foot store at Causeway Shopping Center in Indian Harbour Beach this year. Construction is currently underway on the store, which will be located in the space formerly occupied by Office Depot, adjacent to Ross Dress for Less. Forge Real Estate Partners III, a joint venture between The Sembler Co. and Forge Capital Partners, is the landlord. Other tenants at the 112,000-square-foot property include Panera Bread, GNC and Bealls Outlet. The center is now 85 percent occupied.
New York City — Club Pilates has signed a 3,500-square-foot lease in New York City. The brand has opened a fitness center on the ground floor of The Delegate, a condominium tower located in Manhattan. Club Pilates, an affiliate of Midtown East Fitness and a subsidiary of Xponential Fitness, currently operates more than 800 studios globally. Jack Resnick & Sons owns and operates the retail space at the property. Yardley, Pa. — Wegmans will open an 88,000-square-foot store in Yardley early next year. Situated within the Prickett Preserve development, the store is expected to employ more than 400 people. Wegmans was established in 1916 and currently operates 109 stores in seven states. The brand is also scheduled to open a store in Lake Grove, New York, next year.
