Houston — Hospitality group Noble 33 has announced plans to open two restaurant concepts at The Pavilion at The Allen shopping center in Houston. Toca Madera will occupy 11,103 square feet with a seat count of 393, and Meduza Mediterrania will comprise 9,732 square feet with a 289-seat occupancy. The openings are scheduled for this fall and early next year, respectively. Noble 33’s in-house design firm Monochrome Concept oversees both concepts. Abel Design Group will provide architecture and design services and Construction Concepts will handle construction of the restaurants.

Meridian, Idaho — Wood Investments Cos. has announced the opening of a 42,212-square-foot PGA Tour Superstore at Gateway Marketplace, a 135,732-square-foot retail center in the Boise suburb of Meridian. The store now leases a space formerly occupied by Rosauers grocery store. Other tenants at the center include Trader Joe’s, Mecca Gym, Land Ocean, Chili’s Grill & Bar, Le Peep, Mathnasium and Orange Theory. Greenville, S.C. — Sprouts Farmers Market will open a 25,000-square-foot store at North Hills Shopping Center in Greenville. Originally built in 1975, the retail center is currently undergoing renovations including updates to facades, landscaping, patios, storefronts and parking lot repairs. Construction of the Sprouts is scheduled to begin this year, with the opening planned for 2024. This marks the second location for the brand in the Greenville market. Aston Properties is the landlord.
North Florida has been a hotbed of retail activity that hasn’t shown signs of slowing, according to Carrie Smith, senior vice president of retail at Franklin Street in Jacksonville, Fla. “Retail is nothing short of being red hot,” she says. “It’s probably in the most aggressive dealmaking mode since I’ve been in business. Johns Creek, Ga. — Toro Development Co. (TDC) has announced leases with 11 tenants at Medley, a mixed-use project currently underway in Johns Creek, roughly 30 miles northeast of Atlanta. Upon completion, the development will include 200,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space, as well as 900 residential units and 110,000 square feet of office space. Tenants will include Little Rey, CRÚ Food & Wine Bar, AYA Medical Spa, Fadó Irish Pub, BODY20, Lily Sushi Bar, Lucciano’s Gelato, Sugarcoat Beauty, Summit Coffee, Knuckies Hoagies and Cookie Fix.
Twin Falls, Idaho — Wood Investments Cos. has announced the addition of three new tenants to Canyon Park West, a 160,140-square-foot retail center located in Twin Falls. Natural Grocers will open a 20,000-square-foot store at the property this fall. Additionally, Ashley HomeStore and Carter’s have signed leases totaling 18,000 and 4,084 square feet, respectively, and are now open at the center.
North Brunswick, N.J. — Azarian Realty Co. has negotiated a 9,746-square-foot retail lease at The Shoppes at North Brunswick in Northern New Jersey. Kevin Pelio of Azarian represented the undisclosed landlord in the lease negotiations. David Dunkelman of Soloff Realty & Development represented the tenant, Big Blue Swim School. The new lease brings Shoppes at North Brunswick to 94 percent occupancy.
Fayetteville, Ark. — Fast casual franchise Slim Chickens has signed a deal to expand into Southeast Michigan with 25 restaurants. Partners Brad DeLange, Todd DeLange and Doug Broadright will lead the restaurant’s Great Lakes division and bring the brand to locations in the Detroit and Ann Arbor metropolitan areas. Slim Chickens has opened more than 225 locations in the U.S. and the U.K. and has more than 1,100 restaurants in development.
Austin, Texas — Four new tenants have signed leases at Centro, a mixed-use development spanning two blocks in Austin. Pure Barre, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, Birds Barbershop and Full Ride Cycling will occupy spaces within 15,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space at the property. Jeremy Smitheal, Win Smith and Bennett Holcomb of Riverside Resources represented the landlord in the leasing negotiations.
West Windsor, N.J. — Starbucks Coffee has opened a 3,000-square-foot café in West Windsor. Situated within The Square at West Windsor, a 220,000-square-foot shopping center, the location includes a drive-thru lane, conference room and outdoor seating patio. Starbucks now leases a portion of the space formerly occupied by Pier 1 Imports. The Container Store will also open at the center in 2024, which is anchored by Lowe’s and Trader Joes. Garden Commercial owns the property.
