San Ramon, Calif. — University Avenue Partners has purchased a mixed-use property located in San Ramon, approximately 40 miles east of San Francisco. Terms of the transaction were not released. At the time of sale, the 52,149-square-foot property was 90 percent leased to a mix of office and retail tenants. Petersburg, Va. — Cordish Cos. has announced plans for a $1.4 billion mixed-use project located in Petersburg, roughly 24 miles south of Richmond. Upon completion, the development, dubbed Live! Gaming & Entertainment District, will comprise 4 million square feet, including 600,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space. Houston — Midway has arranged leases with six tenants at CITYCENTRE, a mixed-use development located in Houston featuring shopping, dining, office and entertainment space. The new leases total 25,000 square feet and bring the retail space at the center to 90 percent occupancy. Restaurant Daily Gather, Nike Live, Epic-Cycles bicycle shop, Tempur-Pedic and western brand Tecovas opened at the center this year. Orthodontists Smile Doctors will also open a location at the property soon.
Chicago — Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) has announced plans for a mixed-use development at Westfield Old Orchard shopping center. Plans include retail, residential, dining, entertainment and health and wellness space, as well as an open-air plaza to host events. Work on the multi-phase project began this fall, with enhancements to the common areas. Nashville, Tenn. — Global real estate investment firm Northwood Investors LLC has acquired Fifth + Broadway, a newly developed mixed-use project in Nashville. The purchase price was $715 million, according to the Nashville Post. Brookfield Properties, which developed and operated the asset, completed construction in 2021.
