Evergreen Park, Ill. — Valore Ventures has sold Evergreen Park Towne Center in Evergreen Park, about 15 miles south of Chicago. The sales price was undisclosed. The 7,784-square-foot retail property is located at 8730 S. Kedzie Ave. It is fully leased to tenants such as Boost Mobile and Edible Arrangements. Sean Sharko and Austin Weisenbeck of Marcus & Millichap represented Valore in the sale. The buyer was undisclosed.
Chicago — Colliers International has negotiated the sale of 3101, a four-tenant retail property in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood, for $6.6 million. Anchored by CVS Pharmacy, the 23,000-square-foot property also features two restaurants, including Domino’s Pizza. Peter Block of Colliers represented the seller, Zimmerman Family Trust. Newcastle Properties purchased the asset.
Barrington, Ill. — Avalon Equities has purchased Barrington Station, a 5,780-square-foot retail building in Barrington, a northwest suburb of Chicago. The purchase price was undisclosed. Tenants at the property include Starbucks, Verizon, Briddick Tile & Stone and Skinovatio Medical Spa. CBRE represented the seller, GK Development.
Peoria, Ill. — PaPPo’s Pizzeria & Pub will open at Quincy Mall in Peoria this summer. The restaurant specializes in stone-hearth, oven-baked pizzas; and craft beer. Quincy Mall is the company’s first Illinois location, but it currently operates in Lake of the Ozarks, Columbia and Springfield, Missouri. PaPPo’s also serves calzones, sandwiches, salads, wings, breadsticks and its famous Pizookie, a brown butter chocolate chip cookie. PaPPo’s will occupy the current Que Town Bar-B-Que space. Que Town plans to relocate within the mall. Cullinan Properties Ltd. owns the property.
Chicago — Draper and Kramer Inc. has completed the second phase of its ongoing renovation of Lake Meadows Market in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood. The final element of Phase II was a full interior and exterior renovation of the shopping center’s 193,000-square-foot Jewel-Osco grocery store. Jewel-Osco parent company Albertsons shared costs of the $2.3 million project, which also included the addition of a mural entitled “Heart of Bronzeville” by local artist Corey Jenkins. Chicago — Fairgrounds Coffee & Tea has signed a 2,623-square-foot retail lease at 306 West Erie, an office development currently under construction in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. The location will serve as the company’s seventh coffee shop in the Chicago area. The building is the first phase of Verso, a three-building office redevelopment undertaken by North Wells Capital and Urban Innovations. Renovation work began in late 2019 to expand and modernize the property. JLL is the leasing agent for 306 West Erie and the entire Verso portfolio.
Glenview, Ill. — Associated Bank has provided a $17.7 million loan for the acquisition of land and development of a 62,540-square-foot shopping center in Glenview, about 20 miles northwest of Chicago. Known as Willows Crossing, the multi-tenant center will be located at the southwest corner of Willow and Pfingsten roads. Previously signed leases at the project include Mission BBQ, First Watch Café and an undisclosed 35,000-square-foot grocery tenant. Completion is slated for spring 2021. Oak Brook, Ill. — Mid-America Real Estate Corp. has negotiated the sale of The Shops at Oak Brook Place in suburban Chicago for an undisclosed price. An institutional buyer purchased the 177,165-square-foot shopping center, which is located at the southeast corner of 22nd Street and Midwest Road. Anchor tenants include Nordstrom Rack, T.J. Maxx, Ulta, Old Navy and Nike. Rick Drogosz and Joe Girardi of Mid-America represented the seller, a Canadian real estate investment trust.
Wheeling, Ill. — CMX CinéBistro is set to open at Wheeling Town Center on Friday, Feb. 14 in suburban Chicago. The movie theater anchors the retail portion of the mixed-use project. Spanning 40,000 square feet CMX CinéBistro Wheeling will offer a bar and lounge area, seven screens, reclining seats and tables for food and beverage service.
