Miami — Continental Real Estate Cos. (CREC) has been selected as the leasing agent for eight shopping centers in South Florida totaling 629,060 square feet. The retail properties include El Mercado, Clewiston Town Center, Polo Grounds Mall, #1 Marketplace, The Shops of Bird Road, Tropical Plaza, Gables Grand Plaza and Red Road Commons. The firm will also manage El Mercado and Clewiston Town Center. Carlos Guzman, Steven Henenfeld, Mitchell Boxer and Ruben Suarez of CREC will lead the retail leasing team.

Publix anchors the 96,036-square-foot El Mercado in Hialeah Gardens, as well as the 130,015-square-foot Polo Grounds Mall in West Palm Beach. Tropical Plaza and #1 Marketplace are also grocery-anchored centers. Clewistown Town Center in Clewistown, which includes 119,688 square feet of retail, features tenants Dollar General, Tractor Supply and Goodwill. Gables Grand Plaza and Red Road Commons, both of which are located in Coral Gables, are mixed-use properties that include 195 and 400 apartment units, respectively, above ground-level retail space. The company also added The Shops of Bird Road, located in Miami’s Westchester community, to its leasing portfolio.
