Nanuet, N.Y. — Metropolitan Realty Associates (MRA) is set to acquire a 218,000-square-foot Macy’s department store located within The Shops at Nanuet in Nanuet, New York.
Joe Farkas of MRA — in partnership with Angelo Gordon & Co. — has signed a sale-leaseback agreement with Macy’s, which will allow the department store to continue operating through the holiday season. At Home has signed a 10-year lease for the first floor of the building, comprising 101,488 square feet. A projected opening for the new location has yet to be announced. Jerry Welkis of Welco Realty represented At Home, and MRA was self-represented in the leasing transaction. David Landes and Jeanine Kemm of Royal Properties will act as leasing agents for the space. Located 30 miles north of New York City, The Shops at Nanuet is home to tenants including Regal Cinemas, 24-Hour Fitness, Apple, Coach, Lululemon Athletica, J. Crew, Starbucks Coffee, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar and P.F. Chang’s.
