Philips Edison & Co. Purchases 168,532-Square-Foot Grocery-Anchored Center in Oviedo, Florida

Oviedo, Fla. — Philips Edison & Co. has acquired Alafaya Square, a 168,532-square-foot center located in the northeast Orlando suburb of Oviedo. Danny Finkle, Jorge Portela and Evan Lahr of JLL Capital Markets represented the seller, a joint venture between MCB Real Estate and an institutional investor, in the transaction. Alafaya Square, which was 96 percent occupied at the time of sale, is anchored by a newly built Publix. Other tenants at the center include Planet Fitness, IHOP, Keller Williams, Froggers Grill & Bar and Arcade Monsters.
