Sunrise, Fla. — Construction is underway on the residential component of Metropica, a more than 4 million-square-foot mixed-use development located in Sunrise, Florida.
Located just off of the Sawgrass Expressway and Sunrise Boulevard, the project will be comprised of 400,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space; 650,000 square feet of office space; 2,250 residential units; and a 240-room hotel.
The retail portion of the project is on track to begin vertical construction this summer. Tenants set to open at the complex include Ipic Theaters, Kings Bowl, True Food Kitchen, Kona Grill, Oil & Vinegar, Fogo de Chão, Shake Shack, Anthropologie, Free People and Kendra Scott.
Metropica Holdings LLC — a venture led by real estate developer Joseph Kavana, CEO of KGH International Development LLC — is developing the project. Master planner CI Design of Baltimore and Oppenheim Architecture & Design collaborated on the design for the project.
