San Mateo, Calif. — HFF has secured a $15 million loan for the renovation and tenanting of The Baywood, a 26,157-square-foot retail and office building in San Mateo.
El Segundo, Calif. — CenterCal Properties LLC has hired Ruben Perez as executive vice president of leasing.
Cypress, Calif. — Meridian Capital Group has arranged $8.5 million in permanent financing for The Boardwalk, a shopping center in the Southern California town of Cypress.

San Francisco — Faris Lee Investments has arranged the $16.8 million sale of a 17,920-square-foot freestanding retail property triple-net-leased to CVS/pharmacy in San Francisco.
Fair Oaks, Calif. — NewMark Merrill Cos. has acquired Madison Marketplace, a 258,981-square-foot retail center in Fair Oaks, located 18 miles east of Sacramento.
Los Angeles — CBRE has arranged the $8.2 million sale of a 12,715-square-foot retail property leased to CVS/pharmacy in Los Angeles.
Sarasota, Fla. — Sarasota-based Benderson Development has acquired a four-property, net-leased portfolio for $89 million.
Bakersfield, Calif. — Bass Pro Shops has unveiled plans to open a 100,000-square-foot location at Bakersfield Gateway, a planned retail development in Bakersfield. Upon completion, the project, developed by Woodmont Co., will feature 800,000-square-feet of retail and will include a central gathering area for lifestyle events and programming. The new Bass Pro Shops will be the retailer’s fifth location in California. A construction timeline was not released, but is expected to be announced in the coming months.
