Oklahoma City — Colliers has arranged the sale of a 161,190-square-foot former Sears property located in Oklahoma City. Michael Brewster and Drew Quinn of Colliers represented the undisclosed seller. Brad Peterson, El Warner and Charley Simpson of Colliers were also involved in the transaction. LSC Development acquired the property at auction for an undisclosed price, with plans for an adaptive reuse project including retail outlots and a self-storage facility.

Austin, Texas — Foxtrot has announced that it will open a 6,000-square-foot store and café in Austin, marking the largest location for the brand and the second in the city. Scheduled to open June 5 at a property formerly occupied by an auto repair shop and grocer, the space will include a covered indoor-outdoor patio. Foxtrot currently operates 27 locations in Chicago; Washington, D.C.; Dallas and Austin, with plans for a third opening in Austin.
New York City — Petco Health and Wellness Co. has unveiled a new 25,000-square-foot flagship store located in Union Square in New York City. Opening this weekend, the location will feature a curated merchandise assortment, grooming salon, veterinary hospital and JustFoodForDogs kitchen. The new store is a relocation of Petco’s previous Union Square pet care center, which opened in 1996 and closed in May of this year.
Servierville, Tenn. — Buc-ee’s will open a 74,000-square-foot travel center in Sevierville, roughly 30 miles southeast of Knoxville, marking the second location in the state for the brand and the largest travel center in the world. Scheduled to open at the end of June, the center will feature 120 fueling stations in addition to a store and car wash. Buc-ee’s, which currently operates 46 locations, is additionally underway on a 75,000-square-foot center in Texas and announced its first Virginia location in March of this year.
Atlanta — Scofflaw Brewing Co. will open a 5,500-square-foot space at Oxton, a 35,000-square-foot food and retail project to be developed by Ardent Cos., Westbridge and Bridger Properties at the Piedmont Center office campus in Atlanta. Scheduled to open in 2024 and marking the first tenant at the development, the taproom and brewery will feature access to an adjoining courtyard. Square Feet Studio Architects is leading the design of Oxton, which was announced earlier this year. Bridger is handling retail leasing at the property.
Chesterfield, Mo. — Keystone Construction Co. has completed Hub Stl, a $4 million outdoor entertainment space at The District of St. Louis in Chesterfield, roughly 20 miles outside St. Louis. The District is devoted to live music, food and beverage concepts and retail space. Construction on Hub Stl, which features a performance stage and viewing area with a 400-person capacity, began last fall. New York City —Lidl will open a 34,484-square-foot store at Glen Oaks Shopping Center in the borough of Queens in New York City. Ken Schuckman of Schuckman Realty represented Lidl in the lease negotiations. Randall Briskin represented the landlord, The Feil Organization, on an internal basis. The store, which is scheduled to open sometime next year, will be Lidl’s third in the borough.
Kansas City, Mo. — IAS Partners has begun development of a 15,000-square-foot, multi-tenant retail and restaurant building at Metro North Crossing, a mixed-use project in Kansas City. The facility is located adjacent to the newly opened Hawaiian Bros Island Grill and Whataburger. Construction of the shell building is scheduled for December, with tenants expected to open in spring 2024. Metro North Crossing is also home to T-Shotz, a 52,000-square-foot golf entertainment venue.
Chamblee, Ga. — terra alma has been selected to curate the vendor lineup at Chamblee Tap & Market, a taproom and micro food hall project currently underway in Chamblee, roughly 15 miles outside Atlanta. Scheduled to open by early 2024, the development will feature Sidecar Coffee and a taproom equipped with 20 taps, as well as three food stalls. Jeff Kimmel and David Heymann are the owners of the property.
Sarasota, Fla. — Sprouts Farmers Market has signed a 23,000-square-foot retail lease at Aster & Links, a mixed-use development underway in downtown Sarasota. Belpointe PREP LLC is the developer. Leasing at the property, which include 424 residential units, is expected to begin in the first half of 2024.
