Hutto, Texas — EVO Entertainment Group has signed a 53,300-square-foot lease at Townwest Commons in Hutto, with plans to open a cinema, bowling and entertainment venue at the property in 2024. Nathan Nickerson of Common Ground represented the tenant in the leasing negotiations and secured an incentives package with the City of Hutto. Josh Friedlander and David Meyers represented the landlord, NewQuest Properties, on an internal basis.

Cherry Hill, N.J. — Two new tenants have opened at Cherry Hill Mall, a PREIT shopping center located in Cherry Hill. Earlier this month, seafood restaurant Eddie V’s opened at the property, and clothing retailer Psycho Bunny also recently opened a store within the mall. Additionally, the H&M, Garage and Aldo stores at the mall have been remodeled, and Brooks Brothers and UNIQLO are scheduled to join the tenant roster this summer, with Oak & Fort expected to open a store at the property later this year.
Huntington Beach, Calif. — Six new tenants are set to open at Bella Terra, an 852,000-square-foot mixed-use development currently underway in Huntington Beach. The property is being developed by a partnership between DJM and PGIM. Philz Coffee is scheduled to open in July and Fogo de Chão will open in August, with Jan’s Health Bar and Snooze AM Eatery both set to open this fall. Sandy Springs, Ga. — A partnership between CONNOLLY and Coro Realty has announced plans to reposition the retail portion of a 120,000-square-foot mixed-use development located in Sandy Springs, roughly 16 miles north of Atlanta. The partnership acquired the property in February 2022 for $40.5 million. Formerly known as Sandy Springs Gateway, the development will undergo capital improvements and be known as Chastain Market going forward. Brea, Calif. — Wood Investments Cos. has signed UFC GYM to open within a 30,000-square-foot retail property formerly occupied by Tower Records in Brea, roughly 30 miles southeast of Los Angeles. Scheduled to open in the third quarter of this year, UFC GYM will fully occupy the two-story, single-tenant building. New York City — Automaker Rivian has opened a 5,000-square-foot store in New York City’s Meatpacking district, marking the most recent location for its “Spaces” lineup, a collection of temporary and permanent experiential retail centers. Featuring a floor-to-ceiling glass storefront, the space will showcase the company’s flagship vehicles and offer product education and community programming. Rivian plans to introduce more Spaces stores throughout this year and 2024, with upcoming locations including Brooklyn, New York; Laguna Beach, California; and a 10,000-square-foot site in Austin, Texas.
Pearl, Miss. — Marshalls will open a 21,160-square-foot store at Outlets of Mississippi, a retail outlet center located in Pearl, roughly five miles outside Jackson. Scheduled to open later this summer and marking the eighth location in the state, the store will be situated in a space formerly occupied by Saks OFF 5TH. Other tenants at Outlets of Mississippi, which totals 325,000 square feet, include Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Nike, Cole Haan, Coach Outlet, Levi’s, Michael Kors, Gap Factory Store and Under Armour.
West Hollywood, Calif. — JLL has arranged a 392-square-foot lease at a retail property in West Hollywood. European home fragrance and décor brand Baobab Collection will occupy the space, marking the second location in the country for the brand. The store is scheduled to open at the end of the year.
