Inglewood, Calif. and Los Angeles — NAI Capital Commercial has arranged three Total by Verizon leases totaling 6,049 square feet. Tina LaMonica and Patrick Ortiz of NAI represented the landlords in the leasing negotiations. In Los Angeles, Total by Verizon will open a 2,234-square-foot store within a space formerly occupied by AT&T and a 2,000-square-foot store at Martin Luther King Jr. Shopping Center. Additionally, the tenant will occupy a 1,815-square-foot space in Inglewood, roughly 12 miles outside Los Angeles.

Fort Worth, Texas — Si Tapas will open a 4,275-square-foot location at Crockett Row, a 282,334-square-foot development in Fort Worth. Scheduled to open in fall of this year, the restaurant will offer classical and contemporary Spanish cuisine. Younger Partners is the landlord at the property.
Whole Foods to Open 47,000-Square-Foot Store at Parks at Walter Reed Development in Washington, D.C.
Washington, D.C. — Whole Foods Market plans to open a new 47,000-square-foot store as part of the Parks at Walter Reed development in northwest Washington, D.C. The store, which will open on June 28, will anchor the 3.1 million-square-foot redevelopment of the historic, 66-acre Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The new Whole Foods will be located in The Hartley apartment building. The grocer signed the lease with the ownership group — Hines, Urban Atlantic and Triden Development — in 2019.
Conroe, Cypress and Katy, Texas — Baker Katz has arranged three Pet Supplies Plus leases totaling 19,050 square feet in metro Houston. The pet care brand will occupy 6,000 square feet in in Conroe, Texas, beginning in the fourth quarter of this year. Additionally, Pet Supplies Plus will open a 5,550-square-foot space in Cypress and a 7,500-square-foot space in North Katy in the second quarter of next year. Austin, Texas — Foxtrot has announced that it will open a 6,000-square-foot store and café in Austin, marking the largest location for the brand and the second in the city. Scheduled to open June 5 at a property formerly occupied by an auto repair shop and grocer, the space will include a covered indoor-outdoor patio. Foxtrot currently operates 27 locations in Chicago; Washington, D.C.; Dallas and Austin, with plans for a third opening in Austin.
New York City — Petco Health and Wellness Co. has unveiled a new 25,000-square-foot flagship store located in Union Square in New York City. Opening this weekend, the location will feature a curated merchandise assortment, grooming salon, veterinary hospital and JustFoodForDogs kitchen. The new store is a relocation of Petco’s previous Union Square pet care center, which opened in 1996 and closed in May of this year.
Houston — Three new tenants have signed leases at Rice Village District, a shopping center located in Houston. Boutique Luminary Lifestyle, jewelry brand gorjana and apparel retailer Mizzen+Main are scheduled to open spaces at the property in early 2024. Bluestone Lane, [solidcore], The Rice Box and Navy Blue also recently opened at the center.
Atlanta — Scofflaw Brewing Co. will open a 5,500-square-foot space at Oxton, a 35,000-square-foot food and retail project to be developed by Ardent Cos., Westbridge and Bridger Properties at the Piedmont Center office campus in Atlanta. Scheduled to open in 2024 and marking the first tenant at the development, the taproom and brewery will feature access to an adjoining courtyard. Square Feet Studio Architects is leading the design of Oxton, which was announced earlier this year. Bridger is handling retail leasing at the property.
New York City —Lidl will open a 34,484-square-foot store at Glen Oaks Shopping Center in the borough of Queens in New York City. Ken Schuckman of Schuckman Realty represented Lidl in the lease negotiations. Randall Briskin represented the landlord, The Feil Organization, on an internal basis. The store, which is scheduled to open sometime next year, will be Lidl’s third in the borough.
