Plano, Texas — At Home opened three new home decor stores during the month of July. The company’s stores span an average of 100,000 square feet and offer up to 45,000 decor items, including furniture, rugs, wall art and housewares. Branch Signs Two Restaurants to Join Tenant Roster at Shopping Center Underway Near Pensacola

Milton, Fla. — Branch Properties has signed two restaurants to join the tenant roster at Merganser Commons at Dogwood Estates, a 66,912-square-foot shopping center under construction in Milton, a Florida Panhandle city located about 24 miles east of Pensacola. The Atlanta-based developer plans to open the Publix-anchored center later this summer. The new eateries joining Merganser Commons include RibCrib, a fast-casual barbecue restaurant that will occupy 4,750 square feet, and Teriyaki Madness, an Asian concept. Pittsburg, Kan. — Marshalls will open a 25,000-square-foot store at Pittsburg Town Center in Pittsburg, a city in Southeast Kansas. Other tenants at the property include The Home Depot, Chili’s, Buffalo Wild Wings and UPS. David Block and Phil Peck of Block & Co. Inc. Realtors negotiated the lease transaction on behalf of the undisclosed ownership group. Block & Co. also manages the property.

Nordstrom Rack to Open 24,000-Square-Foot Store at Terrace at Hamilton Place in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Chattanooga, Tenn. — Nordstrom Inc. plans to open a new Nordstrom Rack store at The Terrace at Hamilton Place, an open-air shopping center located at the intersection of Shallowford Road and I-75 in Chattanooga. This will be the third Nordstrom Rack and fourth Nordstrom concept in Tennessee. CBL Properties owns and manages Hamilton Place, which houses retailers including Academy Sports + Outdoors, DSW, Ulta Beauty and Old Navy. CBL Properties plans to open the Nordstrom Rack store in spring 2023.

New York City — Marx Realty is set to break ground on a 6,000-square-foot Chick-fil-A restaurant in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The location will be developed on a site formerly home to a three-story office building at 157 Flatbush Ave. in the borough’s Midwood neighborhood. Altoona, Iowa — New England Development has secured nine new retail tenants at the Outlets of Des Moines, which is located in Altoona. Now open are J. Crew Factory Outlet and Bizzy’s Boutique, a local retailer specializing in women’s, children’s and baby apparel. Opening this summer are Puma, Nautica, Aeropostale, Windsor, Forever 21 and rue21. Victoria’s Secret is scheduled to open this fall. New England Development completed Outlets of Des Moines in fall 2017.

T.J. Maxx Opens 25,000-Square-Foot Store at Westfall Town Center in Matamoras, Pennsylvania

Matamora, Pa. — T.J. Maxx has opened a 25,000-square-foot store at Westfall Town Center, a 115,360-square-foot shopping center in Matamoras, located near the confluence of the New Jersey-New York-Pennsylvania border. A 73,000-square-foot ShopRite grocery store anchors the center. Derek Zerfass and Scott Horner of Colliers represented the landlord, Chicago-based CenterPoint Properties, in the lease negotiations. The representative of the tenant was not disclosed.

Wegmans Opens New 81,300-Square-Foot Grocery Store in Metro D.C., Two More Planned to Open

Washington, D.C. — Wegmans is expanding in metropolitan Washington, D.C. In early May, the grocer opened an 81,300-square-foot store at 150 Stovall St. in Alexandria, Virginia, a store that anchors Stonebridge’s Carlyle Crossing mixed-use development. The Alexandria store opened earlier this month and is the 14th Wegmans in Virginia and 107th nationwide.
