Plainfield, Ind. — Theo’s Italian will open a 6,118-square-foot restaurant at The Shops at Perry Crossing, a shopping center located in Plainfield, roughly 18 miles outside Indianapolis. Scheduled to open this month, Theo’s marks the third food-and-beverage concept by Cunningham Restaurant Group at the property, joining Bru Burger Bar and Stone Creek Dining Co. Montgomery Township, N.J. — SJC Ventures, a privately held commercial real estate and retail development firm based out of Atlanta, has broken ground on Montgomery Promenade in the New York City suburb of Montgomery Township. Situated on a 54-acre site on Route 206, Montgomery Promenade will comprise 292,700 square feet and feature palisades for walking, green spaces, outdoor dining and restaurants. Attleboro, Mass. — RK Centers has acquired Bristol Place, a 414,404-square-foot shopping center located in Attleboro. Moving forward, the property, which was 96 percent leased at the time of sale, will be rebranded as RK Bristol Place. Tenants at the center include Market Basket, The Home Depot, T.J. Maxx, Burlington, Hobby Lobby, Edge Fitness, Bob’s Discount Furniture and Party City. An affiliate of Unison Realty Partners sold the property for an undisclosed price. Food-and-beverage concepts El Gordo Taqueria by Fuego Tortilla, Fresh Squeezed Mini Bar and Le Macaron will occupy 2,430; 1,917; and 895 square feet, respectively. Theodore, Ala. — Dorsey Development, an entity owned and operated by G. Paul Dorsey III, has purchased Island Road Shopping Center in Theodore. Winn-Dixie anchors the property, which totals 59,822 square feet. Other tenants at the center include Pizza Hut, Subway, Buddy’s Home Furnishings and Premier Nails.
New York City — Four new tenants have opened at Kings Plaza in New York City. Target, Primark, Zara and Burlington have opened stores in a space formerly occupied by Sears at the enclosed mall, which totals 1.1 million square feet in Brooklyn. The landlord, Macerich, has implemented targeted renovations at the property.
Juno Beach, Fla. — Bucksbaum Properties has acquired Plaza La Mer, a 111,000-square-foot shopping center located in Juno Beach. Built in 1988, the property comprises five buildings situated on 10 acres. Tenants at the center include Dunkin’ Donuts, Trustco Bank and Loggerhead Fitness.
Katy, Texas — SRS Real Estate Partners has arranged the $14.6 million sale of a 55,000-square-foot retail building in the Houston suburb of Katy. Kohl’s occupies the property, which is currently under construction, on a triple-net-lease basis. Matthew Mousavi and Patrick Luther of SRS represented the seller and procured the buyer, which acquired the asset via a 1031 exchange.
Spring Hope, N.C. — Legacy Realty Group Advisors has brokered the $4.8 million sale of Spring Hope Commons, a 47,950-square-foot retail center located in Spring Hope. Food Lion anchors the property. Jacob Baruch and Daniel Baruch of Legacy represented both the buyer and seller in the transaction.
Bay Shore, N.Y. — Nordstrom Rack, the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, will open a 24,000-square-foot store in Bay Shore, a hamlet on Long Island.
