Beachwood, Ohio — As part of what DDR Corp. (NYSE: DDR) calls a “strategic transformation,” the shopping center REIT plans to spin off a portfolio of 50 assets — including 38 U.S. assets and all 12 of its properties in Puerto Rico — into a separate publicly traded REIT to be named Retail Value Trust (RVT).

Jacksonville, Fla. — The Shopping Center Group has arranged the $5 million sale of Regency Court, a 220,000-square-foot retail center in downtown Jacksonville.
Chicago — Time Out Group, a London-based media company, has unveiled plans to open a 50,000-square-foot food hall in Chicago’s Fulton Market.
Lyman, S.C. — SRS Real Estate Partners has arranged the sale of Lyman Corners, a 45,704-square-foot shopping center in Lyman, a city in upstate South Carolina.
Sydney and Paris — Europe’s largest commercial property firm Unibail-Rodamco is set to acquire U.S. and U.K. mall owner Westfield Corp. (ASX: WFD) for $15.7 billion.
Houston — Capital Retail Properties (CRP), in a partnership with Wile Interests Inc., will develop Market at Houston Heights, a 30,000-square-foot retail and restaurant center in northwest Houston.
