Located in Redlands, California, the first property, Orange Street Plaza, totals 155,000 square feet. Vons, Trader Joes, Office Depot and U.S. Bank anchor the center, which was 99 percent occupied at the time of financing. Iowa, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska and Wisconsin — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of a 22-property portfolio occupied by Arby’s in the Midwest for $35.1 million. The net-leased assets are located in Iowa, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska and Wisconsin. Drew Isaac and Brian Bailey of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, an Arby’s franchisee. As part of the sale, new leases were executed for the properties. The buyer was undisclosed.

Minot, N.D. — Kraus-Anderson has completed construction of a 110,000-square-foot Scheels store at Dakota Square Mall in Minot. Designed by R.L. Engrebretson Architecture, the $20.6 million project involved the remodeling of an 85,000-square-foot former Sears store combined with a 25,000-square-foot space for a conference room, classroom and offices. The store offers a selection of sports gear, clothing and shoes. Shoppers can also enjoy Ginna’s Café, which serves soups, sandwiches and coffee, and Fuzziwig’s Candy Factory, which sells homemade fudge.

Grand Forks, N.D. — SRS Real Estate Partners’ National Net Lease Group has brokered the $2.3 million sale of a single-tenant retail property occupied by OfficeMax in Grand Forks. The 23,500-square-foot building is located at 3225 30th Ave. Built in 1998, the property sits on 2.5 acres near the University of North Dakota and Columbia Mall. Joseph Simon of SRS represented the seller, a Madison, Wis.-based private investor. Simon also represented the buyer, an Oregon-based private investor completing a 1031 exchange.

Bismarck, N.D. — CBL Properties has unveiled the first phase of redevelopment plans for the former Herberger’s department store at Kirkwood Mall in Bismarck. Three fast-casual restaurants, including Five Guys, Blaze Pizza and Chick-fil-A, will join the mall. As part of the project, roughly 40,000 square feet of the former Herberger’s will be demolished. The remaining 52,000 square feet will be utilized in future phases of redevelopment. An additional pad site will be created in the parking area. Construction is set to begin this spring.
