Doylestown, Pa. — Whole Foods Market will open a new 43,617-square-foot store in Doylestown, located 25 miles north of Philadelphia. The new location will feature more than 500 local items from the Mid-Atlantic region, offering customers certified organic produce, a selection of wines and beers, a Whole Foods-curated grocery section and wellness, beauty and lifestyle items. Additionally, the store will include a full-service seafood counter, full-service meat counter, specialty cheese department, hot food bar and bakery. The new location will open March 13.

Monroeville, Pa. — CBL Properties has sold Monroeville Mall, a 1.2-million-square-foot regional mall located in Monroeville, roughly 20 miles east of Pittsburgh. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Walmart purchased the property — which comprises the main mall building, adjacent strip mall, front entrance expansion and land parcels for Best Buy and Firestone — for $34 million in an all-cash transaction. Enola, Pa. — Philadelphia-based Agora Commercial Realty Advisors has acquired Summerdale Plaza, a 147,916-square-foot shopping center located in Enola, just west of Harrisburg, for $15.2 million. The center — which was 80 percent leased at the time of sale — is anchored by Tractor Supply, AutoZone, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, Rite Aid and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. JP Colussi and Brad Nathanson of IPA represented the buyer and seller in the transaction.
Wyomissing, Pa and Voorhees Township, N.J. — CBRE has arranged the sale of three retail properties located in Wyomissing and Voorhees Township, totaling approximately $14.7 million. The properties include a stand-alone Wawa convenience store and gas station in Wyomissing and two retail centers at Cedar Hill Shopping Center in Voorhees Township. Tenants at the property include ShopRite, Ross Dress for Less, Five Below, Burger King, Sherwin-Williams, The Aaron’s Company and Dunkin’ Donuts. Palomar facilitated the transaction on behalf of the seller, a publicly traded REIT. A New York-based investor was the buyer.
Cranberry Township, Pa. — Supermarket chain Wegmans Food Markets Inc. has announced plans to open a new store in Cranberry Township, roughly 21 miles outside Pittsburgh. This marks the chain’s first location in metro Pittsburg. Designed and constructed by Sippel Development Co., the115,000-square-foot store will feature a bakery, seafood department, meat, produce, deli and cheese options and a selection of wine and beer. Situated on 13 acres, the new store will be a part of the larger Cranberry Springs mixed-use development. Wegmans currently operates 111 stores along the East Coast.
Oxford, Pa. — NAI Emory Hill has brokered the $3.4 million acquisition of a shopping center located in Oxford, roughly 55 miles outside Philadelphia. Walgreens anchors the property, which was fully occupied at the time of sale. Other tenants at the 15,600-square-foot center include Bigfoot’s Express, Domino’s Pizza and Vape2Go. Tower Investments owns the development, which is situated one mile from Center City. Richard Soloff of Soloff Realty & Development manages leasing for the property. Founded in 2010, Apple Cinemas currently operates multiple theaters across six states.
