Atlanta – Crim Development Inc. has received approval from the Atlanta City Council to develop a mixed-use project along Moreland Ave., across from the Edgewood Retail District. The development, located on 4.5 acres, will consist of 285 apartment units and 16,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. Greystar Real Estate Partners, based in Charleston, S.C., will develop the project. Crim & Associates Inc. will own the ground-floor retail and be responsible for all retail leasing. “Preliminary interest in the project has been very strong from retailers,” according to Steven St. Paul of Crim & Associates Inc. “Being located across the street from an established regional shopping center such as Edgewood Retail District offers retailers and restaurants an established customer base to tap into.”

Construction on the project will begin this fall.
