Orlando, Fla. — Tavistock Development has announced plans for Lake Nona West, a 405,000-square-foot shopping center to be located in the Lake Nona master-planned community in Orlando. Upon completion, the development will be situated on a 54-acre parcel and feature open-air shops, ground-level parking, outdoor entertainment spaces and public art. Tavistock has submitted site plans to the City of Orlando, and construction is scheduled to begin in 2024, with completion planned for fall 2025. Tenant announcements are expected this winter.

Origin-at-Symphony-Park_Las-Vegas

Las Vegas — Red Ridge Development is underway on Origin at Symphony Park, a six-acre mixed-use project located in downtown Las Vegas. The development will feature 100,000 square feet of retail space, a 32-story residential tower, mid-rise apartment building, outdoor promenade and office space upon completion, which is scheduled for 2026. The McGarey Group, a division of the Divaris Group, will manage leasing for the retail space at the project in partnership with Paragon Commercial Group.

Bolsa-Row-Terrace-Westminster-CA

Westminster, Calif. — R.D. Olson has broken ground on Bolsa Row Terrace, a 26,211-square-foot shopping center project in Westminster’s Little Saigon District. The property will feature shopping and dining options overlooking a landscaped courtyard with al fresco bistro seating upon completion, which is planned for early 2024. This marks the second phase of a larger, six-acre project for developer IP Westminster.

New York City — Wegmans Food Market has announced plans to open an 87,500-square-foot store at 770 Broadway in Manhattan’s East Village neighborhood. The market, dubbed Wegmans Astor Place, will be located at the base of an office building that Vornado Realty Trust owns. Meta, formerly known as Facebook, occupies the office portion of the property. Atlanta and New York City — Chick-fil-A has announced plans for two new restaurant concepts. Beginning in 2024, the brand will open an elevated drive-thru concept in metro Atlanta as well as a walk-up restaurant in New York City. Both concepts are designed to enhance efficiency and convenience, with plans for the drive-thru restaurant including a kitchen built above the drive-thru lanes and dedicated lanes for mobile orders. Mansfield, Texas — Flix Brewhouse has signed a 15-year lease to open a 40,000-square-foot theater at The Shops at Broad, a retail center located in Mansfield. Scheduled to open this fall, the venue will feature nine auditoriums and offer in-theater dining service. Sam Kartalis of Younger Partners and John Weber of Weber & Co., who manage the property, negotiated the lease on behalf of the landlord, Trez Capital.

Rocklin, Calif. — Circle K has signed a 3,700-square-foot lease at University Square, a 10-acre mixed-use development currently underway in Rocklin. Upon completion, the convenience store and gas station will be situated on a site featuring more than 20,000 square feet of retail space and 5,000 square feet of space for quick-service restaurants. LRE & Cos. is the developer and landlord, and the development is scheduled for completion in late 2025.

Peachtree Corners, Ga. —North American Properties (NAP) has partnered with Politan Group to open a 10,000-square-foot food hall at The Forum Peachtree Corners, a mixed-use redevelopment in metro Atlanta. Scheduled to open in summer 2024, Politan Row at The Forum marks the second food hall for the partnership, following the opening of Politan Row at Colony Square in Midtown Atlanta two years ago. Bell-Butler is designing the food hall, which will feature space for seven independent food-and-beverage concepts, a bar, private event venue and an outdoor patio fronting the greenspace.

Upon completion, the venue will feature four indoor and six outdoor padel courts; two pickleball courts; a health and wellness center; Pura Vida restaurant; steam room; and cold plunge pool. Situated within SoLé Mia, a 184-acre master-planned community, the club will mark the first permanent location for the brand.
