Huntington, N.Y. — Four new tenants have signed leases at Huntington Shopping Center, a 21-acre retail center located in Huntington on Long Island. Williams Sonoma, J. Crew, Paris Baguette and BFT Fitness will occupy 5,317; 7,766; 2,776; and 2,649 square feet, respectively. Other tenants at the center include The Container Store, Whole Foods Market, REI, Lovesac, Burger Village and Just Salad. Huntington Beach, Calif. — Beverage concept Sip Fresh has signed a franchise deal for the development of three new stores in Southern California. Franchisees Brittany, Bryson and Risa Berryman will open the units, which are expected to be located within shopping centers in the Huntington Beach and Newport areas. Sip Fresh stores typically comprise between 400 and 1,400 square feet.

Houston — LEVCOR has completed the redesign of Post Oak Plaza, a retail center located in Houston. Renovations at the property included updates to building and store facades, new lighting elements, upgraded landscaping and widened pathways. Additionally, three new tenants have signed leases at the center. Local Foods, Arhaus and Saatva will occupy 3,016; 22,201; and 4,000 square feet at the property, respectively. Taco Deli, Rakkan Ramen and Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau are also scheduled to open at the center by the first half of 2024.

Cooper City, Fla. — Three tenants have opened at The Shoppes at Monterra Commons, a 153,618-square-foot mixed use property in Cooper City. Culver’s, First Watch and The Learning Experience now occupy 4,300; 3,700; and 10,000 square feet at the development, which was completed in August. Cali Coffee, Playa Bowls, Gyromania, Oaxaka, Tide Cleaners, Blueprint Cookies, Jonari Dental, Kami Nail House, Huey Magoos and AA Mint have also signed leases totaling 16,330 square feet at the property. Diversified Realty Development is the landlord and developer.

Baltimore — Restaurateur Pinky Cole will open two food-and-beverage concepts, Slutty Vegan and Bar Vegan, at Baltimore Peninsula, a $5 billion mixed-use redevelopment project currently underway in Baltimore. Scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2024, the plant-based restaurants are expected to create more than 100 new jobs. The 14 million-square-foot, 235-acre Baltimore Peninsula development also features a four-acre sports venue, ROOST Apartment Hotel and the Rye House and 250 Mission residential communities. Upon completion, the project will comprise 362 apartments and 91,000 square feet of retail space. A 37,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market will anchor the property. Richard Henry, Mike Ryan, Brian Linnihan and J.P. Cordeiro of CBRE arranged the financing on behalf of the borrower and developer, SJC Ventures. Nashville, Tenn. — Tanger Factory Outlet Centers (NYSE: SKT) has completed Tanger Outlets Nashville, a 290,000-square-foot outlet mall in Nashville. The property is Tanger’s first new development since 2019.  The open-air development consists of seven retail buildings and The Green, a central outdoor community space for programming and activations. Overland Park, Kan. — Whole Foods Market will open a 45,791-square-foot store in Overland Park, roughly 12 miles outside Kansas City. The opening of the new store, which is scheduled for Nov. 15, marks the relocation of an existing Overland Park Whole Foods, which has operated since 2007. Darcy Landis, principal local forager for Whole Foods, curated the selection for the store, which will feature more than 750 local items from the greater Kansas area.

Detroit — Detroit Music Hall has unveiled plans for a $122 million expansion project designed by Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects. At seven stories and 100,000 square feet, the expansion is the culmination of an extensive 2023 feasibility study.
