Atlanta and New York City — Chick-fil-A has announced plans for two new restaurant concepts. Beginning in 2024, the brand will open an elevated drive-thru concept in metro Atlanta as well as a walk-up restaurant in New York City. Both concepts are designed to enhance efficiency and convenience, with plans for the drive-thru restaurant including a kitchen built above the drive-thru lanes and dedicated lanes for mobile orders. Peachtree Corners, Ga. —North American Properties (NAP) has partnered with Politan Group to open a 10,000-square-foot food hall at The Forum Peachtree Corners, a mixed-use redevelopment in metro Atlanta. Scheduled to open in summer 2024, Politan Row at The Forum marks the second food hall for the partnership, following the opening of Politan Row at Colony Square in Midtown Atlanta two years ago. Bell-Butler is designing the food hall, which will feature space for seven independent food-and-beverage concepts, a bar, private event venue and an outdoor patio fronting the greenspace.

Chick-fil-A_LaGrange

LaGrange, Ga. —Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $3.3 million sale of a newly constructed single-tenant property in LaGrange. Chick-fil-A occupies the 5,000-square-foot property, which is as an outparcel to a new Publix-anchored shopping center, on a 15-year ground lease. Don McMinn of Marcus & Millichap’s Taylor McMinn Retail Group represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction.

San Diego — High Bluff Capital Partners will assume ownership of a portfolio comprising 81 Hardee’s locations following an auction. Located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, South Carolina and Wyoming, the restaurants were previously owned by franchisee Summit Restaurant Group, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May of this year. The transaction is expected to close in August. Sandy Springs, Ga. — A partnership between CONNOLLY and Coro Realty has announced plans to reposition the retail portion of a 120,000-square-foot mixed-use development located in Sandy Springs, roughly 16 miles north of Atlanta. The partnership acquired the property in February 2022 for $40.5 million. Formerly known as Sandy Springs Gateway, the development will undergo capital improvements and be known as Chastain Market going forward. Atlanta — Hospitality group 200 Peachtree is underway on the development of two restaurants located at 200 Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta. SKOL Brewing Co., a craft brewery, will comprise 5,000 square feet and is expected to open later this year. Food, beverage and entertainment hall Valhalla Social is scheduled to open in spring or summer 2024 and will total 15,000 square feet, with seating for roughly 300 people. Movie Tavern and YouFit Health Clubs anchor the property, which was built in 1996, according to LoopNet Inc. Cumming, Ga. — Octave Holdings and Investments has purchased Lakeland Plaza, a 301,711-square-foot shopping center in Cumming, a northern suburb of Atlanta, for an undisclosed price. Built in 1990 and renovated in 2015, Lakeland Plaza was 94 percent leased at the time of sale to tenants including Sprouts Farmers Market, Belk, Bealls Outlet, LA Fitness, Joann Fabric and Crafts and Shoe Gallery. Jim Hamilton, Brad Buchanan and Andrew Kahn of JLL represented the undisclosed sellers in the transaction.

Atlanta — Scofflaw Brewing Co. will open a 5,500-square-foot space at Oxton, a 35,000-square-foot food and retail project to be developed by Ardent Cos., Westbridge and Bridger Properties at the Piedmont Center office campus in Atlanta. Scheduled to open in 2024 and marking the first tenant at the development, the taproom and brewery will feature access to an adjoining courtyard. Square Feet Studio Architects is leading the design of Oxton, which was announced earlier this year. Bridger is handling retail leasing at the property.
