Douglasville, Ga. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $19.8 million sale of Douglasville Town Center, a 272,785-square-foot shopping center located in Douglasville, about 24 miles west of Atlanta. Tim Giambrone of Marcus & Millichap’s Atlanta office represented both the seller, a private capital partnership, and the buyer, an out-of-state private investment firm, in the transaction. Douglasville Town Center’s tenant roster includes anchor BuggyBusters, a liquidation superstore, as well as Rogers Mechanical Contractors, Andy’s Wholesale and Cobb Douglas Community Services Board.

Griffin, Ga. — Burlington Stores Inc. has signed a 20,000-square-foot lease at North Griffin Square, a retail center located in Griffin, approximately 40 miles south of Atlanta. Burlington will open a store at the 226,694-square-foot center this summer. Belk, Bealls and Big Lots anchor the property, which is also leased to tenants including PetSmart, T-Mobile, Little Caesars, LongHorn Steakhouse and Starbucks Coffee. Halpern Enterprises Inc., which developed North Griffin Square in 1979, is the landlord and is currently finalizing an exterior improvement program at the shopping center.

Covington-Square_Lithonia

Lithonia, Ga. — Richmar Properties has sold Covington Square, a 144,585-square-foot shopping center in the east Atlanta suburb of Lithonia. Malls-Etc. purchased the property for $13.4 million. Craig Taylor of CBRE represented the seller in the transaction. Built in 1989, Covington Square was renovated in 2021 and was 85 percent leased at the time of sale to tenants including Planet Fitness, Rainbow Shops, City Gear, Beauty and More, Las Colinas Restaurant and 3D Church.

Duluth, Ga. — Korean street food concept Jaws TPK has signed a 1,900-square-foot lease at Mall Corners, a 304,260-square-foot shopping center located in Duluth, roughly 30 miles outside Atlanta. Scheduled to open in the third quarter of this year, the restaurant will mark the first East Coast location for the brand. Daniel Yi of Ackerman Retail arranged the lease on behalf of Jaws TPK and is representing franchisor Boxete Group in finding additional locations in metro Atlanta.

Lawrenceville, Ga. — ShopOne Centers REIT Inc., with joint venture partners Pantheon and an institutional investor, has acquired Bethesda Walk, a 68,271-square-foot shopping center located in Lawrenceville, roughly 30 miles northeast of Atlanta. Walmart Neighborhood Market anchors the property, which was 98 percent occupied at the time of sale. Other tenants at the center include Subway, Wingstop and Metro by T-Mobile.

Thornton Promenade

Lithia Springs, Ga.— CBRE has brokered the $4 million sale of Thornton Promenade, an 18,900-square-foot shopping center located in Lithia Springs, roughly 20 miles west of downtown Atlanta. Avis Car Rental, Domino’s Pizza and Metro PCS are tenants at the center, which was 92 percent leased at the time of sale. Craig Taylor of CBRE represented the seller, RAW Promenade LLC, in the transaction. Riverwood Properties represented the buyer, a private investor. Riverwood will also provide leasing and management services for the property.

New York City — A&G Real Estate Partners will auction eight Party City leases in its capacity as real estate advisor to the retailer.
