Manor, Texas — H-E-B has broken ground on a new store in Manor, roughly 15 miles outside Austin. Upon completion, the store will total approximately 101,000 square feet and feature pharmacy pick-up spaces, a large curbside service area, seven-pump fuel station and a car wash. The opening is scheduled for late 2025.
New York City — Clothing retailer Primark has signed a lease to open a new, 78,760-square-foot store in Manhattan in New York City. Situated within THE PENN DISTRICT, the store will mark the first Manhattan location for the brand. Vornado Realty Trust is the landlord.
Ithaca, N.Y. and Waynesboro, Va. — Chase Properties has acquired two retail centers — Creekside Plaza in Ithaca, New York, and Waynesboro Town Center in Waynesboro, Virginia. Built in 2001, Creekside Plaza comprises 180,000 square feet. Tenants at the property, which was 95 percent leased at the time of acquisition, include Dick’s Sporting Goods, HomeGoods, Barnes & Noble and O’Reilly Auto Parts. Built in 1975 and renovated in 2005, the property totals 275,239 square feet, including an enclosed mall, as well as open-air retail space and pad sites. Tenants at East Brook Mall include Old Navy, Kohl’s, T.J. Maxx and Michaels. Egg Harbor Township, N.J. — Spirit Halloween has announced plans to test a new, Christmas-themed concept with the opening of 10 stores. Spirit Christmas stores will feature décor, apparel, inflatables, gifts and stocking stuffers, as well as interactive elements including a life-sized gingerbread village. Scheduled to open beginning in November, the 10 test stores will be located at shopping centers in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
