Middletown, Del. — Weis Markets will anchor Bayberry Town Center, a 280,000-square-foot mixed-use development scheduled to open in 2025 in Middletown. Weis will operate a 64,000-square-foot store at the property, which will be situated within the 1,500-acre master-planned Village of Bayberry community. Construction is scheduled to begin this fall. Upon completion, the center will also feature 31,000 square feet of office space, two green spaces and 145 townhomes.

Sustainable shoe company Allbirds is scheduled to open May 11 and activewear retailer Alo Yoga is scheduled to open in June. Arlington, Va. — JBG SMITH has signed 11 restaurant tenants to Water Park, a mixed-use development currently underway in National Landing in Arlington. Brij, Bubbie’s Plant Burger, Cracked Eggery, DC Dosa, Dolci Gelati, Falafel Inc., PhoWheels, Tiki Thai, Queen Mother’s will occupy 300-square-foot kiosks at the project. Additionally, culinary and creative group STHRN Hospitality will operate Water Bar and Crush Pizza at the property.
Coral Gables, Fla. — Five new tenants will join Shops at Merrick Park, a retail center located in Coral Gables, roughly five miles outside downtown Miami. Home furnishing store Arahus, Coco Cigars and Miami Royal Ballet Dance School will open on the first level. Seattle — Nordstrom Inc. has announced plans to open five new Nordstrom Rack stores in California. Scheduled to open in 2024 and 2025, the stores will be located in Davis, Elk Grove, Gilroy, Oceanside and San Mateo. Both the Davis and Gilroy stores will comprise 25,000 square feet, with the Oceanside and San Mateo stores totaling 31,000 and 36,000 square feet, respectively. Each of the stores will be situated within shopping centers, with the new locations bringing the total count of Nordstrom Rack stores to 68.
Berlin, Vt. — Heidenberg Properties Group has rebranded Berlin Mall as Central Vermont Marketplace in Berlin. This comes as part of the property’s transition to a mixed-use development, which included the opening of Chesnut Place, a 98-unit senior living facility. Heidenberg has also added two new retailers, which occupy a total of 60,000 square feet. Monroe, New York — Two new tenants have signed leases at Harriman Commons, a 706,243-square-foot retail center located in Monroe. Five Below will open an 11,012-square-foot store, and Rightly Dental is now seeing patients within a 1,650-square-foot space. These tenants bring occupancy at the property to 98 percent. Burlington also recently opened at the center, with a 23,986-square-foot store, and plans are underway for the addition of a BJ’s Fueling Station and 3,000-square-foot drive-thru restaurant. Oklahoma City— The Medallion Group has broken ground on The Stacks, a 34,000-square-foot retail project in Oklahoma City. Tenants that have committed to the development include Mediterranean restaurant Cava, fast-casual eatery Pickleman’s and locally based food-and-beverage concept The Surf Bar. Additional retail and medical users will be announced later this year. The Stacks is scheduled to open in the first half of 2024.
Delray Beach, Fla. — PEBB Enterprises has signed new leases totaling 27,099 square feet at Delray Landing, a shopping center the company is currently redeveloping in Delray Beach. Retro Fitness will occupy 17,299 square feet at the property and Crown Wine will lease 4,100 square feet.
