Kaysville, Utah — Utah-based indoor pickleball brand The Picklr will open 80 new venues across eleven states, including Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, Nevada, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Wyoming. The facilities will be opened in partnership with 13 new franchisees. “With seven corporate owned facilities, our first-mover advantage has undeniably led to a high level of interest from well capitalized candidates across the entire country,” says Scott Schubiger, chief growth officer of The Picklr.

Pigeon Forge, Tenn. — Kingsmen Xperience and Bright Play have announced plans for NERF Action-Xperience (NAX), an entertainment center that will total more than 29,000 square feet in Pigeon Forge. Scheduled to open next fall, the attraction will feature blaster battle zones, sports challenges and an obstacle course, as well as a food and beverage area and retail store. This marks the second location, with the first NAX center in New Jersey. NERF is a Hasbro brand.
Pigeon Forge, Tenn. — BrightColors LLC And partner Kingsmen Xperience Inc. have announced plans with Crayola to open a 30,000-square-foot Crayola Experience in Pigeon Forge. Upon completion, the indoor family entertainment center will feature 20 attractions and a retail store. The Pigeon Forge location marks the sixth attraction for the brand, which has opened others in Pennsylvania, Florida, Minnesota, Texas and Arizona. Four additional Crayola Experience locations will open over the next five years, the locations of which were not disclosed.
Nashville, Tenn. — The Cordish Cos. has revealed plans for Nashville Live!, an adaptive reuse of the historic George Jones building in Downtown Nashville. Upon completion, the property will offer 50,000 square feet of dining and entertainment space. White House, Tenn. — The Sembler Co. has announced plans for White House Shops, a 75,000-square-foot retail center to be developed in White House, roughly 30 miles outside Nashville. Publix has signed a 48,387-square-foot lease to anchor the property, which will also feature 11,000 square feet of adjacent retail space and 9,000 square feet of shop space across two additional buildings. Completion of the project is scheduled for next summer. Semblar acquired the 20-acre site earlier this month from a private owner for an undisclosed price.
Nashville, Tenn. — Southwest Value Partners and AEG, joint venture partners and co-developers of the 18-acre Nashville Yards mixed-use development in Nashville, have signed Iconix Fitness to a 40,000-square-foot retail lease. Michael Townsend of Townsend & Associates advised Iconix Fitness in the lease transaction. Scheduled to open in summer 2025, Iconix will occupy the entire second floor of a 420,000-square-foot building, which will also house an EVO Entertainment venue. Chattanooga, Tenn. — Four new tenants will join Hamilton Place in Chattanooga. Crunch Fitness will open a 35,000-square-foot location at the property, and restaurants Texas Roadhouse, Taco Mamacita and Community Pie have also signed leases. Construction on the Crunch Fitness space is scheduled to begin in August, with the opening planned for later this year. Work is currently underway on Community Pie and Taco Mamacita, which will open in July and next year, respectively. Servierville, Tenn. — Buc-ee’s will open a 74,000-square-foot travel center in Sevierville, roughly 30 miles southeast of Knoxville, marking the second location in the state for the brand and the largest travel center in the world. Scheduled to open at the end of June, the center will feature 120 fueling stations in addition to a store and car wash. Buc-ee’s, which currently operates 46 locations, is additionally underway on a 75,000-square-foot center in Texas and announced its first Virginia location in March of this year.
Memphis, Tenn. — JLL Capital Markets has brokered the $18.4 million sale of Summer Center, a retail center in Memphis. Built in 1957, the property comprises 136,673 square feet and was renovated in 1992 and 2008. Kroger, Ross Dress for Less, Five Below and Aaron’s anchor the center, which was 97 percent leased at the time of sale. Jim Hamilton, Brad Buchanan and Andrew Kahn represented the seller, a joint venture between Forge Capital Partners and The Sembler Co. United Properties Corp. acquired the property.
Chattanooga, Tenn. — Ziff Real Estate Partners has sold East Brainerd Shopping Center, an 18,156-square-foot retail strip center located in Chattanooga. The property is leased to tenants including East Brainerd Wine & Spirits, Marco’s Pizza, Tobacco Mart of Chattanooga and Good World Goods. A gas station and Food City grocery store, not included in the sale, are also located within the center.
