Swampscott, Mass. — Regency Centers, a Florida-based shopping center REIT, has sold a 35,907-square-foot retail building leased to Whole Foods Market in Swampscott, about 30 miles northeast of Boston. The sales price was $19.2 million. Whole Foods has occupied the building, which sits on roughly five acres, for more than 15 years. Chris Angelone, Nat Heald and Eric Suffoletto of JLL represented Regency Centers in the transaction and procured the buyer, locally based investment firm Academy Hill Realty.

The Colony, Texas — Electric Gamebox, a British entertainment concept centered on interactive gaming, will open a 4,000-square-foot venue at Grandscape, the 433-acre mixed-use destination in the northern Dallas suburb of The Colony. The venue, which is expected to open this month, will be Electric Gamebox’s first in the United States. Nebraska Furniture Mart is leading the development of the retail components of Grandscape.
Menomonee Falls, Wis. and San Francisco — Sephora will debut at least 850 “Sephora at Kohl’s” locations within Kohl’s stores by 2023, the San Francisco-based cosmetic company announced. The locations will span 2,500 square feet and will typically be situated near the front of each Kohl’s. Sephora at Kohl’s shops will replace Kohl’s current in-store beauty assortment. Exterior signage at locations that feature the in-store shops will display both Kohl’s and Sephora branding. Tenants at the time of sale included a Chipotle Drive-Thru, My EyeLab and Aspen Dental. The property is situated at 1135 Ga. Highway 85 N., 20 miles south of downtown Atlanta. Hunter Steffien, Jeff Conover and Scott DeYoung of Faris Lee represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction. The team also procured the buyer, an undisclosed firm based in Mexico City.

Washington, D.C. — Retail consumers have shown excitement for holiday shopping this year, says Matthew Shay, president and CEO of the National Retail Federation (NRF). Plano, Texas — Mooyah Burgers, Fries & Shakes, a Plano-based fast-casual concept, will open 10 new restaurants throughout the metroplex, an expansion that is expected to create about 250 new jobs. All 10 of these locations will feature the brand’s new prototype with new dining zones, digital menus, a grab-and-go bottled beverage fridge and to-go shelving. New Braunfels, Texas — Locally based grocer H-E-B will open a new, 122,222-square-foot store at 651 S. Walnut Ave. in the San Antonio suburb of New Braunfels. An existing 99,000-square-foot H-E-B store opened in that market in 1994. The project, construction of which is slated to begin early next year, has a price tag of $17.5 million.
