Cordish Cos. Tops Off $270 Million Live! Casino & Hotel in Bossier City, Louisiana

Bossier City, La. — The Cordish Cos. has topped off construction of its Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana, a $270 million hospitality and gaming entertainment complex located in Bossier City. The retail entertainment owner and operator broke ground on the project in December 2023, and general contractor AnderCorp finished vertical construction at the property yesterday.  Scheduled to open in first-quarter 2025, the development will feature more than 47,000 square feet of gaming space; a sportsbook for live betting on sporting events; an upscale 550-room hotel with a resort-style pool and fitness …

Three New Tenants Sign Leases at River Marketplace in Lafayette, Louisiana

Lafayette, La. — Three new tenants have signed leases at River Marketplace, a 168,000-square-foot retail center located in Lafayette. J.Crew Factory, Sephora and lululemon are scheduled to open at the property in early 2025, occupying a 16,700-square-foot building that formerly housed Books-A-Million, which closed earlier this year. A final 3,450-square-foot space within the building remains available for lease. GBT Realty Corp. acquired River Marketplace in October 2021.

Marcus & Millichap Brokers $10.5 Million Sale of Retail Center in Monroe, Louisiana

Monroe, La. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $10.5 million sale of The Plaza One Shopping Center, a retail center located in Monroe. Super 1 Foods anchors the property, which totals 96,765 square feet. The center was fully leased at the time of sale. Zach Taylor and Philip Levy of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, a Texas-based private investor, in the transaction. Steve Greer assisted in closing the sale as the Louisiana broker of record.

Three Abercrombie & Fitch Co. Concepts to Open at Lakeside Shopping Center in Metro New Orleans

Metairie, La.— Three new tenants, all divisions of Abercrombie & Fitch Co., will open at Lakeside Shopping Center, a 1.2 million-square-foot retail center located in Metairie, roughly eight miles outside downtown New Orleans. Abercrombie & Fitch, abercrombie kids and Hollister Co. are scheduled to open at the property this summer. The stores will feature updated prototype formats for the respective brands. Abercrombie & Fitch Co. operates more than 750 stores under these banners throughout North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Tenants at the property include Super 1 Foods, which is currently undergoing a $7 million renovation, and dd’s DISCOUNTS. Mishra Group acquired the center from TCP Realty Services for an undisclosed price. Kyle Stonis and Pierce Mayson of SRS represented the seller, with Jonathan Walker of Maestri-Murrell Inc.

Dorsey Development Adds Four Tenants to Tarpon Heights Shopping Center in Cut Off, Louisiana

Cut Off, La. — Dorsey Development Cos. has signed four new tenants to join the roster at Tarpon Heights Shopping Center, a 57,698-square-foot retail property in Cut Off. Dorsey recently completed renovations including replacing the roof and rebuilding the façade, following hurricane damage in 2021. Dollar General will return to its previous 11,398-square-foot space, and Bayou Ju Jitsu, El Viejon and Lafourche Parish Library have additionally leased space at the center.

Cordish Cos. to Acquire, Redevelop Diamond Jacks Casino & Hotel in Bossier City, Louisiana

Bossier City, La. — The Cordish Cos. has announced an agreement to acquire Diamond Jacks Casino & Hotel, located in Bossier City in northwest Louisiana. Subject to approval by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, Cordish plans to redevelop the property into a casino resort and entertainment destination. Closed since March 2020, the development will be the first in the state of Louisiana under Cordish’s Live! brand, which offers dining, entertainment, casino, hotel and sports-anchored entertainment spaces.
